Just like loads of others have said, I kept getting calls from this recorded voice saying it was Heather Gray from HMRC and to call back. It’s happened maybe 10 times in just a few days, really annoying!

There really oughta be a way to put an end to these calls. We actually set different ringtones for close family and friends, then just let the answerphone pick up otherwise. If it’s someone we know, we’ll answer, but if not, we just let it ring out. At the end of the day, if it’s important, they’ll leave a message. When we went on holiday, my elderly mum got a call and thought we’d had a car crash - it was horrible. Such awful people.

Today my answerphone got a message with some robotic voice saying they were Officer Heather Gray from HMRC. Honestly, I reckon if HMRC had issues with your tax stuff, they’d probably send a letter or something proper, not some weird phone call like this. Feels totally like a scam to me.

Got a voicemail from this number saying it was HMRC, saying there was some problem with me and asking me to call back. I rang them back and only told them my name, nothing else. They started threatening me with court and that the police would come round. It's definitely a scam. Never share any info, especially your bank details!
