Someone named Mark rang me about a PPI refund, and honestly, it seemed like a total scam to me.

Today I got a call about some PPI thing from this number 0789 6671966, but they said they were calling from Canary Claims and gave a different number, 0203 129 7206. They told me to pop down to my local shop and buy a paysafe card with £75 on it. When I started asking questions, the guy - who called himself Terrance - got really rude and told me not to be smart with him. He wanted the code from the paysafe card before sending a courier with a cheque for £2475. I didn’t fall for it, obviously, but I worry loads of others might. Hope those scammers get caught soon.

I got this number after someone rang me about a supposed PPI refund. They told me I'd get back £2,475 from Lloyds Bank for PPI. They said I needed to pop into my local store to buy a Paysafe voucher for £100, then call this number and chat to a bloke named Mark. I never rang and won’t be doing so as it sounds like a total scam. The number they gave is 022031294575.
