No idea who they are but they rang me 7 times over two days. I was out each time, then when I picked up and asked who it was, they just hung up. There’s a very similar number too, 02031296891, probably from the same lot.

They rang when I wasn’t home and didn’t leave a voicemail. Seeing what others have said, I’ve just blocked the number. I’d recommend anyone else do the same. If you don’t know the number, just let it go through to voicemail.

Total scam. Someone with a strange foreign accent kept asking for Mrs X. Obviously not me, but I played along and asked who they were and what the call was about. She claimed I’d won a £90 Tesco voucher or something like that. Then she started probing for my postcode to 'verify' stuff. I ended the call right away after that.

Got a call from this number quite late one evening, with a woman asking if she could speak to someone - I didn’t quite catch the name, but it definitely wasn’t me. When I told her she’d got the wrong number, she asked for my name so she could take it off her list. I said that wasn’t necessary. After that, she got really pushy and kept insisting I had to give my name. In the end, I just had to put the phone down.

Really difficult to make out what they were saying, not sure if they had a weird accent or were munching while talking. They called me around 9pm tonight and said they were sending a voucher. Absolutely annoying! Here's a trick: answer the call but stay silent. When they eventually give up and go, just keep the call open on your end for like half an hour or any time you fancy. This way, the line stays busy and they can't make calls until you finally end it. Give it a go!

Received a voicemail on my home phone from 0203129687 about an urgent legal issue. When I called back, an American sounding bloke claimed to be from HMRC and said there was a case against me for unpaid taxes. He even threatened that the cops were coming to arrest me. When I challenged him, he got aggressive (not sure how his mum puts up with that kind of language!) and just cut me off. I've reported it to both the police and Action Fraud. Might not achieve much but worth a shot.

i got a call from an unknown number with a threatening recorded message about unpaid taxes and legal action if i didnt respond. when i rang back for more info, the guy claimed to be from hm revenue & customs, saying i owed them money. i told him i thought it was all nonsense, and he told me "well then why dont you just hang up", so i did, but not before warning id be reporting to the police. i then spoke to my phone company who said they knew about this scam and have blocked the number so i wont get any more calls. be careful and dont give out your personal information to these people.
