Why is it that when I get calls from numbers not saved in my phone, they always leave no message? Surely they should say who they are instead of just ringing and hanging up! It’s so annoying seeing a whole bunch of missed calls from unknown numbers with no clue who tried to reach me.

Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent saying she wanted to send me a £50 Tesco gift voucher. She already had my name and address, which was creepy. Got a call from someone looking for a person who doesn’t live here. I told them they’ve got the wrong number and then they snapped, asking if I was laughing at them and if I think this is some kind of joke. They said they’d ring back tomorrow and told me to go on and have a laugh at them. It was 7.30pm too and honestly it’s so annoying - this was the third time they’ve called tonight!

Got a call from someone with a strong accent, bit hard to place exactly but sounded more Chinese than Indian. They said I’d be getting a voucher for the supermarket in the post the next day. They even mentioned my address and postcode, which isn’t so impressive since that info is easy enough to find. The value was something like fifty-something pounds, apparently valid at all my nearby supermarkets. It all sounded very dodgy to me, and they didn’t really give any explanation for why I’d be getting it. Background noise made the convo even harder to follow.
