Got a ring from someone saying it was about stopping nuisance calls, made it sound like they were helping you opt out. I’m pretty sure that’s not true though, reckon I’ll just end up getting even more calls now.

Someone phoned me and wanted me to verify my name, but I refused and asked them who they were. They claimed there had been a request to block the number and then asked me to confirm my address. I kept asking who was calling, but they just kept pressing me for my address. After I asked a couple more times, they suddenly cut the call. It was a woman speaking with an Indian accent.

this number called me a few times, but I usually just block it. today, a woman with a thick American accent rang and said i’d won a £50 voucher from some big supermarket. she sounded really sarcastic and even joked about how unexcited i was. when i asked her to repeat who she was, she said she was some kind of 'tescos manager' and then just hung up on me. i doubt i’ll be seeing that voucher anytime soon! pretty sure it’s just another annoying scam.
