2 yearsAccommodations for students at university3 yearsWhat a disgraceful lot! Just a bunch of con artists preying on individuals with unpaid debts, masquerading as representatives from the Citizens Debt Advice Bureau.Citizens Debt Advice Bureau5 yearsLoads of calls have been coming through from numbers like +44 20 6004 3129 and ones that look almost the same. When I pick up, they always start with something like “hi, how’s your day going?” I ask straight away who's calling and where from. They say they’re ringing from the UK and want to chat about some crypto investment deal. I told them I’m not interested and asked how they even got my number since it’s private and doesn’t appear anywhere. When I said the name they gave me isn’t mine, he just laughed and asked me for my name. I told him to stop wasting my time with scams, but he kept on, wondering why I didn’t want to chat. I told him I was tracing the call and let him babble for a couple of minutes before he hung up real fast. Typical scammer behaviour. 🤦♂️UK5 yearsSomeone pretending to be from Citizens Advice called me. When I questioned them, they just ended the call.Citizens Advice5 yearsThey claimed to be from Citizen Advice, but honestly, CAB doesn’t ring you out of the blue about money matters - only if you’ve called them first. When I questioned them, they were quite short and unpleasant. I've blocked the number now.Citizens AdviceCAB5 yearsSeriously, just ignore and don’t ring them back - it’s a total scam.Best5 yearsThey claimed to be from the citizens advice debt help team, but they got really rude when I wouldn’t share any money details. It’s a total con job because the legit citizens advice number actually shows up on your phone. Plus, they had loads of stuff about me that wasn’t right.
