I received a call from someone who claimed to be with TalkTalk. Naturally, I wanted to verify, so I asked if she indeed represented TalkTalk, to which she affirmed. I then inquired about her phone number, which turned out to be 02031296482. Curious about her identity, I asked for her name, and it sounded like she said 'Alan'. When I requested her to spell it out for me, she abruptly hung up. Quite suspicious, don’t you think?

I received a call claiming to be from BT, saying there was "unauthorised activity" on our internet connection and threatening to disconnect us. The thing is, we're not even BT customers; we have a different provider. When we probed him for details about this alleged activity and the reasoning behind the disconnection, he kept parroting the same line over and over, seemingly clueless about the specifics. He even had the audacity to question why we were so inquisitive! It's blatantly obvious this is a scam-and not a particularly clever one, either.

I received a call from someone claiming to be Geoffrey Jones, who ominously mentioned that my router had been hacked! They had all my details, including my name and address, and seemed to know I was a BT customer. They insisted that I needed to sort out my computer. What a right kerfuffle!

Once more, I encountered quite a rude individual from BT who abruptly terminated the call when I stated I wasn't with them.

I received a call from a lady with a foreign accent claiming to be from BT, talking about some supposed issues with my emails being compromised. She urged me to get on my computer to sort it out. It felt completely off, especially since she didn’t seem to have a clue who my actual internet provider was, clearly just taking a stab in the dark that most people are with BT. Definitely a scam!
