Got a call from 02031296467 at 9.37 in the morning, then another one from 01418819509 at about 12.05pm. Both rang with exactly the same message. It was some automated voice from "Bank Security" saying there had been two big payments recently (£300 for Amazon and £1,200 for a Money Transfer) and they were supposedly first time buys. It told me to press 1 to stop the transactions and all that. Quite annoying, since it's just a robot, I can’t even give them a proper earful.

Total scam, if they were legit, they’d actually say their company name. (I know some scams do use real provider names too, but this one didn’t.) Just ignore and hang up.

Got a robo call saying there was a dodgy Amazon order for an iPad costing over £700 which was supposedly on hold, and they told me to press 1 to talk to someone. They keep ringing, usually between 8am and 11am. Obviously, I just hung up. My main concern is for my husband though, as he’s not the fastest thinker and might just press cancel without knowing it’s a scam. He’s in his 70s.

I usually ignore calls from numbers I don't recognise, I just jot them down and look them up here. These people are definitely breaking loads of rules but it feels like no one’s doing anything to put a stop to it.

Here we go again, got another call about some big order over £1000 being confirmed. These pesky calls keep coming every single day. I just hang up straight away, but it’s pretty frustrating. Probably best to just block and forget about it.

Got a call from this number around 9:15 this morning but didn’t pick up since it was unfamiliar. Checked it out on Who called me and after reading the reviews, I’m relieved I ignored it. These annoying calls are really getting on my nerves. Based on what I’ve seen here, I’m going to flag it as risky.

Just like what others have said, I got a recorded message three days running, saying my Amazon account’s gonna be shut down because of some massive transaction. Complete nonsense. But getting three calls in a row is proper harassment.

Got a robo-call from a bloke saying he was from Amazon, mentioned a purchase of over £1000 charged to my credit card connected to my account. Total scam, no way it was legit.

Got yet another dodgy call supposedly from Amazon. They told me there was some weird purchase on my account for a new iPhone costing over £1000. Said my account was locked. Doesn’t bother me though, since I ain’t got an Amazon account anyway.

Total scam, they claimed my internet service was about to be disconnected and told me to press 1 to chat with the CEO.

Got an automated call saying an iPhone was bought on my Amazon account for £1000 and that suspect activity meant they’d stopped any more purchases. Thing is, I don’t have an Amazon account hooked up to this number at all. Definitely another scam. I’m pretty clued up about scams but this one sounds quite real and I can see how it might trick older or more trusting people.

I received a voicemail claiming to be from Amazon, warning me about a dubious charge linked to my account. Honestly, do they really think we're gullible enough to believe a robotic message would tackle something so personal? Plus, it’s quite evident that Amazon doesn’t even have this phone number!

I received a call purporting to be from Amazon, alleging some odd transactions linked to my account. They mentioned a mobile phone purchase amounting to £1250! Honestly, I would have anticipated that my bank would reach out regarding such a hefty sum before hearing from Amazon. The chap on the line had a rather convincing tone, I must say.

Got a robo call saying I’d just bought something huge on Amazon for a few hundred Aussie dollars. It told me to click a link to cancel the payment. Obviously I just ended the call straight away. Total scam.

Got a call supposedly from Amazon sayin there was a suspicious £1640 charge on my account and to press 1 to speak to someone about it. Total scam if you ask me. Most likely they want to either rip you off with premium call charges or try to sneakily grab your bank or card info. Stay well clear of that!

The number looked so familiar, I immediately assumed it was from Amazon. Looks like I was right, judging by what's here. It just went straight to voicemail, so I never got to speak to anyone. Had to mark it as Unknown in the end.

Got a call at half past seven in the morning, so you’d think something important or bad had happened with family or mates. Missed it 'cause the answerphone picked up straight away and nobody left a message. Decided to look up the number on WhoCalledMe and found out it’s one of those Amazon scams. Since it’s a UK number, I don’t get why Ofcom isn’t doing anything to block it!

Got a call from this number around 8:45 this morning. With all the scam and annoying calls I’ve been getting lately, I just ignored it and let it go to voicemail. As soon as my answer machine kicked in, they hung up straight away. Decided to check who it was and turns out it’s one of those fake Amazon Prime scams, something I've already dealt with before. Definitely adding this number to my block list!
