Got a call from someone named “Alexandra” claiming to be from some company about my “accident”. Not sure if it was an actual person or just one of those automated messages. I picked up because I was waiting for a phone call. Figured they’d try to get my bank info, so I ended the call right away.

Got a robotic message telling me to ring back in a second or they'll have my lawyer on the case because I supposedly owe HMRC money - total rubbish. If anyone calls asking for your bank or card info, or telling you to call them back (unless you were already expecting them), just ignore it. They're just trying to scam you out of your cash.

This morning my missus got a call from that number and got really worried, so she rang me straight away. I looked up the number and, just like I thought, it’s a scam. I suppose some folks really do get caught by these tricks, it’s all about how many people they ring out. The more they call, the better chance they have someone bites. Best not to ring that number back, could be one of those nasty premium lines that blows up your phone bill.

Just like so many others have mentioned, we’ve been inundated with recorded messages on our answering machine featuring a woman's voice claiming there’s a legal case against us. We've lost count, but it must be over ten by now! Thankfully, I live with my 75-year-old dad, and we see through this hoax - it’s clearly a SCAM. We’ve now decided not to pick up unless we’re certain of who’s on the other end. I can only imagine how frightening this must be for those who aren’t as discerning! It’s frankly appalling, and it’s high time someone tracked down the source of these calls and put an end to this nonsense - or at the very least, block their number from bothering anyone else!

I had a rather peculiar voicemail on my machine today. When I returned the call, a chap on the other end, who had a distinctly Asian accent, informed me that there was an active case against me related to criminal behaviour, tax fraud, and the like. I pointed out that surely I'd have received a proper notification if that were the case, and inquired about his location. He claimed to be calling from 100 Parliament Square in London and ominously warned me that a police officer would arrive at my door within 20 minutes if I didn't take him seriously. I simply replied that I’d be more than happy to wait for the officer. Then, bizarrely enough, he hung up! 😂

My mate got loads of calls asking him to ring them back on this number. He rang them up! They said they were from the Tax Office and that he owed more than £4000. I told him it sounds like a scam and that he should NEVER call anyone back unless he's actually expecting their call. My elderly neighbours got calls from this number 3 times, each time they sounded even more aggressive, threatening legal stuff. I’ve told Virgin about it and fingers crossed they’ve blocked them now.

I've been inundated with messages requesting that I or my lawyer get back in touch (likely some dodgy premium rate scam) or else face consequences. Honestly, I’m absolutely tired of dealing with these time-wasting charlatans. It's nothing short of harassment!

Terrible group calling up old people, threatening court over supposed unpaid taxes. Just block them straight away and contact your phone company so they stop bothering you. Absolute lowlives.

Got this voicemail on our answerphone: "Either you or your solicitor must get back to us right away. This matter is really urgent and requires immediate attention. Call 02031296231 on our legal hotline. Please don’t ignore this message, or we’ll have to pursue legal steps. Thanks and take care."

Every day we receive an unsolicited call from 02031296231, and it’s proving to be quite alarming, especially for those who might be easily fooled. I strongly urge everyone not to engage with this number! As pensioners, we find the actions of these scammers utterly appalling and completely indifferent to our situation. It's the same con that's been mentioned before, but one can't help but notice how easy it is for those who are more susceptible to get caught out by it.

It appears I've received a rather menacing automated call that, while not outright illegal, feels like it surely goes against the ethical standards set by its respective professional organisation. However, I suspect that no one is actually keen to investigate this matter. Being registered with the Telephone Preference Service, I shouldn't be getting such calls, yet it seems like yet another organisation that fails to make a difference.

I've just received my 11th call this past week, and today alone, they’ve rung me 4 times - all claiming to be from HMRC. They've also tried contacting me from the number 02031297044. The nature of these calls is quite alarming; they insist that I or my solicitor must get in touch with them at once, or they will pursue legal action regarding some supposed debt. It’s all rather peculiar, especially since the real HMRC have already issued a refund for my overpaid taxes!

This afternoon, I received a rather menacing call that masqueraded as an official communication from HMRC. It's astonishing that the authorities seem to turn a blind eye to such scams. This clearly illustrates that the government-regardless of which party is in charge-falls short in protecting its citizens, leaving us vulnerable in this ever-growing landscape of deception.
