I don’t normally pick up calls from unknown numbers but I did today. A man with a thick accent asked for me by name and said he was ringing on behalf of Tesco and Morrisons. He wanted to confirm my address and gave an old one, when I told him it wasn’t right he got a bit annoyed and kept asking if I’d lived there before. I asked what he wanted, he then asked if I had ever shopped at Tesco or Morrisons. When I asked again what the call was about, the line went dead and he hung up. Definitely felt like he was trying to get info out of me.

Got a call on my home phone tonight (05 Sep 2017) at about 20:52 from a woman saying i'd won £50 of diesel fuel at morrisons and they could send me a voucher in the post, even mentioned my old address. I told her i'd moved and my car uses petrol, not diesel, then there was total silence for half a minute before she just cut the call. Pretty clear to me that was a scam.
