I received an incomplete message about some legal matter. When I returned the call, an Asian gentleman mispronounced my name and claimed he was contacting me on behalf of HMRC concerning a lawsuit. I was baffled and expressed my confusion, to which he casually said he would send me something in the post and then abruptly ended the call. Quite the charmer! Definitely smells like a scam-how rude!

I received a rather concerning call from an automated voice, claiming that failing to return the call immediately could result in legal repercussions. This is certainly not how the HM Revenue and Customs conducts its business with the public. They should have introduced themselves properly and the call ought to have been from a legitimate person. My advice is to disregard such calls, and only react if you receive a formal letter afterwards-approach with caution!

Upon returning the call, they claimed to be representatives from HMRC regarding tax matters. They mentioned that if we didn’t settle the alleged debt immediately, they would involve the police. It felt quite menacing, to be honest! 🧐
