I received a telephone call supposedly from a Debt Advice service. The gentleman on the line had quite a pronounced Indian accent and was proposing support for settling my unsecured debts through a government-sponsored debt relief initiative.

They said they were from Sky Internet, but when I asked them whose account it was, they had no clue. Sounds like another dodgy Indian scam to me.

Got a call claiming to be from HMRC, saying I was being looked into for fraud and to press 1 or they'd send a warrant for my arrest lol. So I pressed it. Some guy with an Indian accent answered “HMRC, how can I assist?” I just said “you rang me” and he asked for my name. I told him “if you called, you should already know” then he just hung up lol.
