02031292986 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02031292986 👆 is reported as a persistent scam number linked to unauthorised weekly charges, typically £4.50, deducted from mobile accounts without consent. Victims, mainly Vodafone users, receive texts claiming subscription to dubious services like "NRS" or "APPLICATEKA," often without any engagement on their part. Attempts to unsubscribe by replying STOP may inadvertently authorise further deductions. Many users have successfully blocked the number and obtained partial refunds through their providers, although full reimbursement is inconsistent. The scam affects all ages, including vulnerable elderly users, and often involves elusive customer support with calls diverting to voicemail or holding music. Mobile networks are urged to enhance protections and promptly block such numbers, while customers are advised to contact their provider immediately upon receiving suspicious texts or unexplained charges.

I only just realised this number has been scamming me as well :( I’ve sent a text saying STOP and really hoping they don’t take any more money. There’s got to be a way to sort this out, right?

I recently discovered that £96 was deducted from my account without my consent or initiation. I have not signed up for any services nor clicked on any suspicious links. In fact, I promptly deleted the message received from "Free Mag" as I recognized it as a scam. Vodafone has sympathetically agreed to refund half of the amount as a goodwill gesture. However, I find this situation truly disappointing and unfair!

Just realised they’ve been charging five months of fees on my son’s phone bill. Couldn’t check before cause I was locked out of the online account, only got it sorted now. Tried calling them but all I get is some music then it goes straight to voicemail. Anyone know how to actually reach them? Proper annoying this.

What a total rip-off! They’re charging my grandma, who only uses a basic Nokia and doesn’t even have internet, claiming she signed up for something. That’s ridiculous. We’re now trying to sort it out with the PSA, but honestly, I’m not hopeful she’ll see that money again. Watch out for these scammers!

Got a message saying they’d refund me £4.50 to my account. I didn’t do anything or reply, just to be safe. I’m pretty sure I never signed up for whatever it was, so fingers crossed it’s nothing dodgy and won’t cause any problems.

I got in touch with Vodafone about my issue, and they’ve gone ahead and stopped my account from getting any premium rate texts. They told me there aren't any costs hanging over me, which is great. Big thumbs up to Vodafone for sorting that out! Still wondering though, how on earth do these people get hold of your mobile number in the first place?

I’m absolutely livid with Vodafone! They charged me £31.50 for something I never signed up for. Tried ringing that number and it just goes straight to voicemail. Vodafone’s support was useless too. It’s unbelievable how these firms get away with sneaky charges like this.

Got this same rubbish text about charging £4.50 weekly for something I never signed up for. When I tried calling back, I just got some weird hold tune and then voicemail. Contacted my network to stop these texts and block any third party from draining my account. They said to text 'STOP' back, but that costs 10p! If loads of people do that, they’re just making cash for doing nothing. So frustrating! How do these dodgy firms get away with it without being shut down right away?

I got Vodafone to give me my money back for the first payment they took and to stop any more coming out. But the company keeps sending txts saying I owe £4.50 each week. I’ve sent STOP to the number but I really hate these dodgy companies making cash, even if its just a little, from people replying to their messages.

I had the same experience earlier today with my Virgin mobile account. I reached out to Virgin for assistance, and they advised me to send a text message with the word "STOP" to put an end to it. Additionally, I plan on blocking this number to prevent any further issues.

I also received a text asking for a reply with the word "stop," however, I deleted it instead. To my surprise, on my latest bill from Vodafone, I noticed that £4.50 was deducted. Initially, I believed that Vodafone had resolved the issue, but unfortunately, the following month the deduction occurred again. I made a second call to the provided number and was given reassurances that this would not happen anymore. As for receiving a refund, I am currently waiting for a call back from their finance department.

After a couple of months, I found out I was getting charged £4.50 every week on my Vodafone bill for some service called NRS. I've never heard of these guys and have no clue how I ended up signed up for it. I've already complained to Vodafone about this and rang 02031292986 to get myself removed from their list straight away.

For 18 weeks, I’ve been billed £4.50 each week for a mobile service I never signed up to. Vodafone have thankfully blocked the number now, stopping any more charges. They’re trying to recover the money for me, but honestly, I’m not holding my breath about getting a refund. It feels like these mobile companies should team up to shut down scams like this, but I haven’t got the faintest idea who to report it to or how to make it stop properly.

My lad got three messages from the number 700146101 telling him to text stop. I told him to ignore them and not reply. When I rang Virgin Mobile, they claimed he’d signed up for a premium service and that each text would cost £4.50. They said the texts were from a firm called NRS and gave me a number to call - 0203 129 2986. He definitely didn’t subscribe to anything. After reading the feedback here, I’m going to push Virgin to refund the charges and lodge a complaint about this company sending those messages.

Today I have been scammed a total of £13.50 by these individuals. Vodafone blocked their access, but incredibly, they instructed me to call the same number to retrieve my money! Feeling frustrated, I have decided to contact OFCOM PSA (Phone Services Authority) for assistance. You can reach them at 0300 30 300 20. It is truly a disgrace that these criminals are allowed to operate without consequences. This situation has only fueled my anger and disappointment. Burnley

Upon reviewing my Vodafone phone bill, I noticed that the sum of £27 has been deducted over the course of the last two months by an unknown number. I never received any messages or notifications from this caller, so I am unsure how they obtained my contact information. I promptly reached out to Vodafone to address the issue and they immediately blocked the suspicious number. Furthermore, they provided me with the contact details of two companies that might be able to assist me, but unfortunately, my attempts to resolve the matter were fruitless. I later contacted Vodafone again and fortunately, they acknowledged their mistake and agreed to reimburse me as a goodwill gesture due to my loyalty as a customer.

02031292986, ive always wondered why phone companies dont monitor these scammers better, especially when a single text message costs £4.50, that should ring alarm bells. They really need to take responsibility and look after their customers, its taken ages to get Vodafone to admit they have to do something about it. After loads of hassle, they finally agreed to refund me.

Just went through the same thing with Vodafone. They were quite willing to help, but kept pushing the idea that I had somehow agreed to something. The info I got from them was to ring 02037509063 or drop a line at [email protected][###]. Honestly, the company name sounded fishy from the start, like those typical scam outfits. They really need to be banned from sending texts to folks' phones!

I have recently experienced the situation where two payments were taken without my consent. I contacted Vodafone, and they kindly prevented any future calls from that number. I received a text message from a certain number claiming that I have been subscribed to their service, costing £4.50 per week. However, I can confirm that I did not sign up for this service. It's quite disturbing to see that under the new data protection regulations, an unknown company can obtain your contact details and charge you for a service you never asked for. This situation is quite alarming, and I am interested to know what actions Vodafone will take to resolve this issue.

I honestly can’t grasp how this pathetic, sneaky company has been nicking £4.50 from my phone bill every single Tuesday, week in, week out. I must admit, I’ve been slack and never really took a proper look at my monthly bills before. When I finally did, I was gobsmacked to see they’d taken 52 payments of £4.50 each, adding up to a ridiculous £234 over the past year. It’s absolutely outrageous and I’m bent on tracking them down and putting a stop to this nonsense!
