Absolutely dodgy lot! They left me a frantic voicemail asking me to get back to them ASAP. I've noticed a whole bunch of different numbers with the same annoying spiel - like 02031297461, 03336788757, and 02031296231. Just like what others have said, they never mention their name and clearly have no idea who they're trying to contact. Utterly ridiculous!

Had a robocall claiming to be from HMRC, same scary stuff about legal trouble and all that doom and gloom. Called HMRC myself and they said it’s a scam for sure. Why doesn't OFCOM or the phone companies just shut down these numbers? Really should be pushing the PM to do something about it!

Got a call early Saturday morning just like you, then they rang back from a different unknown number. Left a really threatening voicemail telling me "Don’t ignore this" and mentioned a solicitor, said I had to call back. Seems dodgy to me, probably a scam. If it was serious, you'd get a letter or some proper paperwork, not just a scary phone message. This kind of thing is really worrying, especially for older or vulnerable folk. I really hope they can shut this number down soon. Feels more like some kind of phone robbery scam to me.

It's quite likely they’re preying on folks who have just wrapped up or are in a frenzy to finalise their tax credit renewals, especially with the 31st July deadline looming. They’re possibly banking on individuals feeling anxious about potential errors in their claims or time running out. For anyone on the receiving end of such calls, fret not! If there were indeed an issue with HMRC, a genuine officer would reach out, not some automated voice. Just disregard these calls; once the deadline is behind us, I reckon the calls will likely cease shortly thereafter.

Just got a call from 0203 769 3702, they played a recorded message from HMRC saying I've been involved in some fraud and warned about legal trouble if I don't sort it out quick. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

Got a call today from 02031291179. It was one of those recorded messages pretending to be from HMRC, telling me I had to call back immediately. Totally bogus and clearly a scam trying to scare people. Best thing to do is just ignore it and don’t get caught up in it.

Received a couple of calls earlier today. Each time, I was met with a robotic voice leaving a message on my voicemail, suggesting there might be legal repercussions if I didn’t get back to them quickly regarding this urgent matter. They didn’t mention my name, nor did they specify who was calling or what it was about. Clearly, it’s a scam, but it could easily cause concern for someone who’s a bit more vulnerable. I recommend ignoring or blocking the number entirely.

In just three hours I got two texts saying “Don’t ignore this, get your lawyer on it, time’s running out, reply before legal steps happen.” The last bit was all like ‘Take care.’ Utter clowns! My elderly neighbour got really uneasy after getting this call, so I looked it up on here. Seems like a total scam and a real pain, best not to pick up. They say you can press nine to remove your number from their list, but I’m not sure if that even works? Better safe than sorry though.

Just now, my grandma got a call from this number, and they were threatening her to pay £4,000. It really upset her, she was close to tears because they said she might get arrested if she didn’t.
