Got a call this evening from someone claiming that I had forked out £159 last year for a year’s insurance on all my white goods, and now they wanted to offer me a renewal for £129. I told them they were completely deluded! Still, I took a quick look at my bank records for Feb 2020 just to be sure no funny business had gone on back then. Luckily, nothing showed up, so it’s obvious they were trying to pull a fast one just now. Keep your guard up and listen to your gut, folks!

I’ve had 3 calls all sounding like they were from South Africa. One told me I’d been in some kind of accident, which was odd, and the other two were pushing white goods insurance, which I’ve never signed up for. The last caller said they were calling from Manchester, but the number is definitely from London. Strange!
