I received a phone call from a woman with an Asian accent informing me that my Virgin internet service was set to be suspended for an entire month. When I probed further, the call was transferred to a gentleman who also had an Asian background. Unfortunately, his responses were rather vague and unsatisfactory. Feeling uneasy, I decided to investigate the phone number online and, after reading some alarming comments, I promptly hung up.

Today, I got a rather dubious call from a chap with an Indian accent who claimed to be from BT. He was alluding to some alarming issue with my internet security and warned that I might face a disruption in my service lasting anywhere from five to ten days while they sorted it out. He even tried to coax me into entering a number on my computer. Thankfully, I had the sense not to fall for it!

I received a call from a chap who claimed to be representing BT, insisting that there was a security issue with my internet connection. He went on to say that if I didn't act quickly, I could be without internet for a week or more. He mentioned some sort of code that I supposedly needed to provide. Naturally, I wasn't inclined to engage with this request. When I tried to ring the number back, it went unanswered, but shortly after, they rang me again. This time, the caller was very on edge and began shouting at me. He even threw in the BT office address in London as if that somehow established his legitimacy. I decided it was best to hang up.

I received a call from a woman who supposedly represented the BT technical team, claiming to sort out some issues. When I pressed her on how she intended to obtain my card information-perhaps by fabricating a story about internet troubles-she didn't take kindly to my question and abruptly ended the call. Quite rude, considering she was the one who initiated the conversation! Just a heads up for everyone out there to stay vigilant!

I received a call from an Indian chap purporting to be from Virgin, insisting there was a problem with our internet connection and that the server required some sort of security measures. I informed him we'd be contacting Virgin ourselves, as everything seemed to be functioning perfectly on our end, and promptly ended the conversation. I'm guessing this was just another scam attempt.
