Got a call from an Indian bloke claiming he was with Microsoft support. I said I don’t even own a computer, and he said maybe someone was using our info without permission. So, I told him he might be a scammer instead, and then he just ended the call.

Got a call today from some bloke claiming he was with the windows support team, said he was trying to help with computer issues. I played along a bit, pretending not to know much, then he went on about pressing the windows button down by the corner and the R key together. That’s when I told him to jog on and ended the call. Total scam attempt!

Just got a ring from this number. The bloke said he was James and claimed to be from Windows or something. Told him straight away I’m on the TPS list so he should stop ringing me. But he kept going on, like he was gonna keep calling “again and again and again...” Proper weird! Ended the call fast!

So, this lady from India called me on the 16th of August, claimed to be from the Windows support team, but her English was quite poor. She said my computer had some serious virus problems.

Got a call from 0203114111 at about 10:18 on Thurs 11/08/2016. The guy said he was Ricky from the Windows Technical team. We chatted briefly but I guess he realised pretty quickly I wasn’t buying it and was having a laugh with him, so he just ended the call.

They keep ringing me non stop but never say a word when I pick up. I finally answered today and asked why they bother calling if they're not gonna talk, then they just hung up on me! So frustrating.

On Wednesday 10th August 2016, around 2.39pm, my dad got a call from this number. An Asian bloke was on the line, claiming there was something wrong with dad’s computer. The funny bit is, we don’t even own a computer! As soon as my dad told him that, the bloke just hung up. They’ve been trying this stunt for a few days now, same script every time. I wish I’d been around to take the call - would’ve had some choice words for those sneaky scammers. I’m being polite here because I’m not sure I want to type out exactly what I think! Honestly, these lot are the worst.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft. When I told them I actually work there, they didn’t seem too happy and asked me for some ID. I asked them for theirs in return and mentioned that Microsoft wouldn’t be cold-calling people around here for no reason. They yelled a bit and then just cut the call. They were asking for my address and something like my operating system number. Definitely scammers, and I’d bet they’re the dodgy kind too.

I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent who struggled with English, telling me there was something wrong with my Windows PC. I’m familiar with these dodgy calls and told him the line was rubbish, then he just cut off. Wish there was a way to give them a good zap on the line! Cazador

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft, saying my PC was seriously infected and they could fix it for me. I told them they were actually talking to the police fraud department and they quickly ended the call. Total scammers!

They claimed to be from Microsoft - no way! I’m actually certified by Microsoft and told them I use Linux, which they somehow insisted was a Microsoft product... Total nonsense. Also, when I asked for their Microsoft ID, they wanted mine first, which felt really dodgy. Seriously, someone should put a stop to these scammers, especially thinking about folks who might fall for their tricks.

I got a call from this number and some guy with an Asian accent said there was a problem with my PC. I told him I don’t own a computer, and he just hung up straight away. I checked the caller ID using 1471 and rang back, but the operator said the number didn’t exist. This reminds me of a time a few years back when I wasn’t very tech-savvy. They convinced me there was an issue with my computer and wanted £75 to fix it. I nearly fell for it, but luckily my son popped round that day. When I told him, he said it was definitely a scam, and I managed to cancel the payment just in time. Seems like they’re just fishing for people who might not know better, like older folk or those not familiar with technology. I’ve learnt loads since then and would warn anyone not to let themselves be caught out!
