As soon as I picked up, they just dropped the call. Blocked their number right away.

So this caller said they were from Carphone Warehouse and I could tell straight away it was dodgy. I played along just to annoy them, making up nonsense like Frank Norman Furter (yep, like the character, ha!). I kept it going for nearly half an hour before they twigged I was messing about. Honestly, if I can keep scammers busy for longer, it means less chance of them tricking anyone who might actually fall for it. They definitely weren’t happy once they caught on though...

Recently, I received a call from someone purporting to be from "Carphone Warehouse," trying to entice me with an improved deal. Oddly enough, it appears they’re constantly altering their ruse while using the same phone number. Quite the cheeky operation they’ve got going on!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Carphone Warehouse. They wanted me to pay £60 straight away for a monthly plan of £30, saying I'd get credit added to my new account. When I asked a few questions, they got a bit rude, so I just ended the call.
