Got a call from some bloke talking about dodgy WiFi stuff and asking if I’ve got any computers here. I ended the call, but the same number rang me up again! Proper fishy if you ask me.

I didn’t answer the phone and it went straight to voicemail. There was a message, which sounded like a recorded one, saying it was from HM Revenue & Customs and threatening legal steps if I didn’t get back to them. I ignored it and decided to inform the Police about the call.

Some bloke from India rang up claiming he was with HM Customs and Excise, said they’re going to take my mum to court. She’s quite old and was really shaken up by the whole thing. Proper annoyed that these calls keep happening, it’s ridiculous!

So, I got a call saying HMRC is taking legal action against me and they asked me to press 1. When I did, I ended up speaking to someone with quite a thick accent. Funny enough, I did get a letter from HMRC recently, just last week. After checking the address on the letter, the man said he was phoning from their main office in London. I told him I needed to find my documents first and that I’d call back later.
