Got a call just a minute ago, second time within a couple of days. The message had a new English voice saying something like "HMRC litigation againsy you, lawsuit pressing 1 to talk to a case officer." When I pressed 1, a different voice with a foreign accent asked me to confirm my name and then read out an address which I told them was wrong. They hung up straight away. Definitely a spam call, probably the same old iTunes voucher scam. Best to ignore and never give them any cash.

My mum, who’s quite old, got a call again telling her there’s some kind of writ against her for money she supposedly owes and to press 2. Last week she had a call just like it from a 0161 number. Thankfully I manage her money stuff, so she rang me straight away. Why can’t the phone companies or the cops shut these numbers down? It’s so scary and the scammers pulling this crap really need to be stopped.

Just got a threatening call from 02030956482 saying it was HMRC about an arrest warrant. It happened about 15 minutes ago. They told me to press one to talk to an officer, but I didn’t. This is definitely a scam and these scammers are super persistent. I got the same message twice on 24th April and twice before that on 16th April. They keep swapping phone numbers, which is really frustrating. It’s outrageous that this keeps happening with no proper action. What can be done to keep people safe? Why aren’t these fraudsters being caught?

It told me to press 1 to speak to someone. At first, I felt really shocked but then got furious thinking about how these calls are still happening. These fake calls can be really frightening for people who are elderly or living alone. It’s outrageous that this sort of thing is allowed to go on. :(

Just got a second robocall from this number. They said HMRC has taken legal action against me and there's an arrest warrant out. They told me to press 1 right away to talk to an officer. This number kept ringing me for more than a week. At first, I genuinely thought I was in trouble with the law, even though I hadn’t done anything wrong, and I even sorted out childcare just in case they picked me up (was well stressed out). I was near the answerphone when I heard a robotic voice telling me there’s a warrant out for me and to press one. When I dialled 1471, the number 02030956482 showed up. An Indian lady answered claiming to be from HMRC and said I had a warrant for unpaid taxes. I told her I’m retired now, but she insisted it was for before I retired. Total scam, no doubt! I called them back and ended up chatting with someone overseas who struggled a lot with their English.

My phone kept showing the caller ID as 020 3095 6482 and sometimes just "International", which seemed like a fake UK number. I didn't pick up, but there was a voicemail left supposedly from HMRC warning me about an arrest warrant and urging me to press 1 to sort it out. Pretty clear it was a scam designed to scare people. I've blocked the number now, but I reckon they'll just try ringing from different spoofed numbers next.

Somebody called saying they were from HMRC and claimed I had an arrest warrant ‘cos of some tax stuff I supposedly missed. I told ’em to jog on, then the bloke started telling me to do up my grandma or something daft. When I asked to talk to his boss, he went on about chucking me in a box and tipping me down stairs! Proper shocking from a gov department, honestly.

02030956482 rang me about 2pm saying they’ve been trying to reach me - claimed to be from HMRC - said there’s an arrest warrant out for me and to get in touch asap. Proper terrifying!!!!!!

Received a peculiar call from a chap claiming there’s a legal matter at hand, urging me to hit 1 straightaway if I wish to converse with an officer of the law. Quite the alarming tone, I must say!

My mum, who’s in her eighties, has been terribly upset and scared all day when she should’ve been having a nice time with some friends who don't visit often. It was like one of those scams about an arrest warrant that people always talk about. Honestly, I just hope whoever’s behind this mess gets their act together quickly.

I keep getting these voicemails claiming to be from HMRC, saying there’s a warrant for my arrest and to press 1 to talk to someone. Most times, the calls come from 0161 numbers. I’ve added this number and others like it to my phone’s block list now. I also reported one of these scams to Action Fraud UK a while back.

Was a call from someone with an Indian accent asking for my national insurance number. When I asked why they needed it, they just hung up on me.
