Reading the reviews I was convinced it was a scam, but when I signed up for NHS mail, I got a message from this number with a new password for it. I gave it a go and it actually worked for logging in.

Got a text sayin I need to do a covid test but I never booked one. The message is full of spelling errors and there’s a link in it, but I didn’t click on it cos it looked dodgy. Really fishy if you ask me.

Got a couple of texts this morning from some random number with a new nhsmail password. I’m actually NHS staff and use this number for work, so it was pretty odd and a bit irritating.

I got a message from this number saying 'the password for your new nhsmail account is'. When I get texts from my gp extra or nhs, they usually kick off with nhs-no reply. This one felt a bit off to me.

Got a text saying “the password for your new nhsmail account is: XxxX-XXxX-XXXx” which is odd cos I work in care but not for the NHS. What’s weirder is it came to my personal phone. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Got a voicemail with some American accent, says it’s from HM Revenue and Customs, and warns "as soon as you get this, action’s being taken." then the call dropped. Seems like loads of these calls have been coming through lately. Seriously, how did my mobile number get out there for this nonsense?

Got a message out of the blue asking me to send a temp password but no clue for what or who it’s meant for!

I've been bombarded with five messages from this particular number, each stating something along the lines of “your temporary password is y#VdoABh” - the actual password changes with each message. This nonsense kicked off on 12th January 2018 and pops up at random intervals ever since. On 31st January, I shot back a text saying, “You’ve got the wrong number,” but there’s been no indication that they even received it, and the messages keep coming. It’s incredibly bothersome and seems like it could be part of some dodgy scam. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this situation? Cheers, Max A.
