The moment I picked up, they just ended the call right away.

I got a call twice from a woman with an Indian accent, saying she was from 02 and offering me an upgrade on my package. The numbers were different though - one looked like it was from London, and the other was from a place called Aboyne up in Scotland. She even said she’d sent me a code and when I opened the 02 app it asked for that code. I didn’t enter anything because it felt fishy. I called her bluff and ended the call straight away.

A little while ago, this number rang me while I was already on a different call on my mobile. They didn’t leave any voicemail or message. From experience, if a small business gets called and no voicemail is left, it's almost always a scammer. What others have shared here seems to back that up too.

A caller claimed to be from my mobile network, 02, offering a discount on my plan starting next month. They mentioned I’d get two texts soon, one containing a one-time code. I was asked to stay on the line, but luckily I was at work and couldn’t. The person had an Indian accent and the line crackled like they were outdoors or it was windy. It didn’t feel genuine, so I ended the call. When the code text came through, it was from an unfamiliar number that hadn’t messaged me before, which made me even more wary. I’ve since blocked the number.
