Got a missed call earlier, so I rang back but it turned out to be a scam. I've blocked the number now.

My phone buzzed and when I answered, the person asked if I could give 10 minutes to complete a form about a car accident from last week. I said, "Wait, was that the smash where I snapped my leg, or the other one where I broke both arms?" They just cut me off and hung up. I ended up blocking the number straight away.

I got a robo call pretending to be someone checking in about a car accident. When I asked what info they had about this supposed crash, the voice sounded like an old computer from the 60s trying to sound normal but kept glitching and giving a vague reply like it was reading from some dusty file. Honestly, it might fool people if it didn’t keep messing up so much. I just blocked the number straight away.

Blocking the number doesn’t really help. All these annoying calls are because of that NHS data breach. They’re scams ranging from bogus accident claims to personal injury nonsense. Honestly, the only way to get rid of the calls is to get a new phone number. It’s mad how personal info of patients has been leaked to all kinds of fraudsters out there.

I stayed on the line with these muppets for a good 20 minutes. Once I mentioned I’d been in a crash with a lorry and lost an arm and leg, they suddenly got really keen to tell me I could claim £4,000 compensation. Gave them fake info - said my name was Zaphod Beeblebrox and that I was the galactic president. When I finally told them I was just winding them up like they were winding me up, they quickly ended the call!

My phone buzzed with a call from this number, but since only my bank, GP and family usually contact me, I didn't pick it up. I’m glad I checked on this site and found out it was just another spam call.
