I got a call from someone who sounded Indian, claiming to be from Windows support. When I said I didn’t trust them, they just hung up. I’ve since blocked the number.

They’ve called me so many times and I just can’t be bothered to pick up anymore, so I’m thinking of blocking that number now.

I've had a couple of calls from this number recently, so I've just blocked it now. Feels like they were trying to scam or fish for my details.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent claiming he was from Microsoft’s main office. He kept saying they’d been trying to send something to my laptop but I hadn’t replied. I told him off pretty good and he asked if I thought he was wasting my time. I said yeah, you’re definitely a scammer, and then he just hung up.

This number rang me a couple times at 9:33 this morning but no message was left. Honestly, it felt like just a waste of time and honestly quite annoying and a bit worrying too.

Got a call from a number with Portsmouth’s area code, same kind of thing as before. The person on the line claimed to be from Microsoft and told me my IP address was at risk. Didn’t engage at all since it was clear it was a scam. I blocked the numbers, but I’m pretty sure they’ll keep ringing me from other phones.

Got a call from these lot but as soon as I picked up, they just hung up. I’m actually looking forward to when they ring back so I can mess with them - my best time so far is 20 minutes of pure hassle for them. It’s a laugh, they tried sending different people through, at least seven different callers, but with my over-the-top local accent, it was nearly impossible for them to get a word in right when it mattered. I even ended up talking to the top guy, proper dodgy character. Honestly, if you’re busy, just don’t bother answering.

Got a call earlier from some guy claiming to be from Windows support. Keeps happening even though we don’t have a Windows PC at all. Be careful - don’t let them into your computer, no matter what they say!

Bunch of scammers, told them to jog on straight away.

Whenever the phone rings, I wait a moment before I pick up. Their automatic system seems to think the call didn’t connect properly and ends it just like that.

Got a call on my landline from someone claiming to be from Windows support. They wanted me to connect to my PC, but right away I asked where they got my number from, which they refused to say. I searched the number online and found this site. After seeing several warnings here, I decided to just hang up. The guy on the phone sounded like he had an Indian accent. The number was 02030779240.

Never share your bank info with them! Totally a scam call, just block that number straight away.

I got a call from an Indian woman yesterday on 02030779240, and she transferred me to some bloke named Mark Ferdinand who said he’s an engineer. He convinced me to let him access my computer and claimed he found loads of issues. I agreed to pay £60 and gave him my bank details, but there was a problem with my card. He’s ringing back today at 1pm and says he can stop my computer from getting more problems. Should I just pay him or what?

02030779240: These calls are hilarious to me, i usually act like i've got my computer ready. When they tell me to press some keys i just say nothing's changed, and they get all confused. I just mess with them since i don’t actually own a laptop - it’s great fun!

Got a call saying there was something wrong with my computer. I decided to throw some easy computer questions at the guy and it was clear he didn’t know much at all. When I mentioned I use a Mac, he just cut me off and hung up. Be careful out there, don’t get caught by these scammers!

This number has been calling me quite a bit. I said I was some sort of tech whiz and they just ended the call. Then they kept ringing but with a new voice every time. After a while, I even heard them swear at me. Haven't had a call in a few days now.

Total rip-off. When they rang, I said I was an engineer trained by Microsoft, and they just put the phone down straight away.

Just like a lot of others here, I usually ignore my phone in the day, but noticed these calls kept coming through nonstop. Finally picked up yesterday, couldn't make much sense of what she was saying. When I said no to connecting to my computer, she immediately ended the call. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

I didn't pick up when this number rang me as I’d already had a call earlier from 004420379240, someone claiming to be from Windows who said there was a problem with my info being used overseas. I reckon this new number is linked to the same lot. The caller asked me to switch on my computer and promised to verify his Windows credentials by looking up my licence number. No way was I falling for that! I’m not daft. I ended up getting two more calls before finally managing to block them.

I said hello and all I got was silence. They didn’t even get a chance to answer properly. Feels like the moment you pick up, you’re straight into some sort of scam. Pretty sure they’re using some auto dialler, calling multiple numbers at once. Whoever ends up answering, they get hit with that usual spiel about their computer having a virus. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

This number kept ringing me, asking me to sign into my Windows account on my laptop. I told them I don't even own a laptop, then they advised me to use my iPad instead. When I questioned that, a guy got on the phone. I kept asking questions and then they just cut me off.

I got a call from a woman who seemed like she came from the future or something. First, she called me from London, and just as I hung up, she rang again but this time from Pontypridd! She kept pushing me to have a pen and paper ready. I’ve blocked both those numbers now, to be on the safe side.

Been ringing me a couple of times today. When I picked up the first time, they just went quiet and ended the call. The second time, it was loud noise on the line and a woman with an accent asked if I was Mrs so-and-so. I said you’re not talking to her anymore and put the phone down. Feels like some sort of scam to me.

This morning I got two calls from this number, so I decided to call back. The person on the line claimed they were from a travel agency in London. When I told them to stop calling me so much, they said their phone system must’ve been hacked. After I told them to piss off and quit ringing, they just hung up on me.

So a guy rang me claiming he was Eric from Microsoft Windows, saying there was an issue with my PC. I said I was going to trace the number (no idea if I actually could). He got annoyed and asked why I didn't trust him and said I was just wasting his time, then he just hung up. Be careful with these calls, don’t enter anything they ask for into your computer unless you’re certain what you’re doing - it’s risky!

Got a call from a woman with a pretty strong Indian accent, saying my computer had some dodgy stuff downloaded on it. When I asked for more info, she couldn’t really explain anything. Then she tried giving me the name Jenny Brown, which sounded totally made up. Honestly, do these con artists seriously believe folks will still buy their rubbish? It’s getting ridiculous.
