I’ve come to find that this number belongs to Simplify, which is linked to Co-op Legal, specialising in probate assistance. They seem to collaborate with various banks throughout the UK. Following the passing of my partner, they reached out to me after I had informed HSBC and Barclays about his demise. However, once I made it clear that I had no need for their help, the calls ceased.

Simply Probate kept ringing trying to get hold of my wife following her mum's passing. Barclays had already handed over her details after being informed about the death. They were told then that a lawyer was involved and there was no need for their services, but the calls kept coming. I've marked this as risky since it seems like they’re targeting older folks going through a really tough and emotional time after losing someone close.

Had a call from Barclays Bereavement team pushing Simplify Probate Service. They're basically promoting their own probate option instead of others. I reckon Barclays might be getting some kind of referral cut. Nothing risky, but it's just another cold call trying to make you part with cash.
