Since BT runs the main lines, I reckon the blame lies squarely with them for these annoying calls. The government - whether it’s the Scottish, Welsh, NI authorities or even the Tories - needs to step up and take action against these call centres and cold calling nonsense. I got a call on 22.05.2017 at around 6.49pm from this number 020 3056 8831, which is a landline.
