The caller had a Scandinavian accent but claimed he was ringing from London, doing a survey about folks living and working in the Middle East. I told him I wasn’t interested and suggested they should do better research on who they’re calling. He just laughed, so I ended the call.

I use this app called Text Me that gives you a free phone number. I use it for things like getting quotes so all the annoying calls and texts go to that number instead of my real one. I always make sure to tick the box saying not to call me or share my details, but somehow I've been phoned by more than 200 different numbers, none of which have anything to do with the site where I gave the number. Weirdly enough, that same number rang me today! Cheers to everyone sharing their thoughts about this number.

They’ve been ringing me nonstop for the past few weeks. I finally picked up at around 8:55pm. It was some kind of consumer survey. When I told the guy I wasn’t interested, he kept pushing even after I mentioned I was putting my daughter to bed. He kept saying stuff like “we have rewards, you might win cash or holidays if you join in”. In the end, he sort of agreed to stop calling me. We’ll just have to wait and see if he actually does.

For several days, this number kept popping up on my phone, however, I chose to give it a miss since it wasn't familiar to me. Today, curiosity got the better of me, and I finally picked up the call. On the line was someone with a distinct foreign accent. When I inquired about how they obtained my number, especially since I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, they seemed stumped for an explanation. Subsequently, they mentioned conducting a consumer survey, but I wasn’t keen to engage any further and promptly ended the call. I've now decided to block that number!

They rang me at 6.15, then again at 7.30, later at 8.45 and 9.15. I picked up once and they asked if I’d done a survey while on a flight this year. Told them I hadn’t been anywhere, been working overseas for the last year and a half. Didn’t bother after that, just blocked the number.
