Had a call yesterday from someone with a foreign accent about loft insulation. Then today, I got another call about some home care service. Both times I just ended the call straight away. I'm pretty sure this is a scam and honestly, it oughta be reported to the police.

The person sounded like they had a really strong accent, was chatting about loft insulation or something. They asked what kind of house we have, which felt a bit dodgy. Ended up blocking the number - definitely seemed like a scam.

I've received an incessant barrage of calls from this number four times in just an hour! Every time, there's a chap on the line with a heavy accent who simply refuses to take no for an answer-it's utterly infuriating. I finally snapped and told him I was tired of these dodgy calls, then just hung up. He had the audacity to ring back after that, so I suggested he send me a letter since he seemingly had my address. Once more, I hung up, but lo and behold, the phone rang twice more after that! I opted to send it to my voicemail, and predictably, no messages were left. Just a heads-up: this lot is definitely trying to pull a fast one!

Total scam, so dodgy - just got it blocked straight away!

I got a call from 02030267896 about a washing machine warranty. Thing is, my machine’s like 7 years old and hasn’t had a warranty for ages anyway.

I received two calls within a mere ten minutes from them. They seemed rather reluctant to reveal which company they represented when I inquired. They mentioned something about Home Help Medical Alarms, but it all seems rather dodgy to me. I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them-definitely feels like a scam!

Every time I get a call from an 020 number, I just let it go to voicemail. There’s never any message, and when I checked "who called me," it turned out to be a total scam.

Called by someone claiming they were from a loft insulation company, but totally a scam.

I normally let unknown calls go straight to voicemail. Most times they hang up as soon as our message starts playing, but this one stuck around and I could hear a busy call centre in the background. Nobody actually said anything before they just ended the call. Being signed up to the TPS, I really shouldn’t be getting these calls!

Didn't recognise the number so I just let it ring out. When I get calls from unknown numbers, I usually check them on who called me and most times they're telemarketers or scams. After falling for a scam earlier this year, I've gotten way more careful with random calls. Big thanks to everyone who shares their experiences on who called me!

They called me outta the blue and even knew my name which felt a bit dodgy. Classic #### call, probably trying to hustle some bogus warranty. They even said my fridge was old, but it’s actually my washing machine and very ancient at that. I think when I showed I wasn’t buying it, they backed off quickly. Looks like #### crooks are back at it so watch out!

Got a call from a woman saying she was selling Home Help medical gadgets at a discounted rate. When I asked where they got my number from, she just kept pushing me, asking if I wanted to buy the device or not. Definitely sounds like a scam, especially aimed at older folks, trying to bamboozle them into signing up for stuff they don’t need.

They actually used my name when they called! Said something about an extended warranty for my washing machine. I told them I wasn’t interested and just hung up. We had a laugh after, considering my washing machine is ancient - like, more than 20 years old! Totally ridiculous!!!

I got a call from some call centre about loft insulation. They said someone would pop round for about 15 minutes then we’d be taken off their list. Then they passed me to an appointments guy who mentioned they’ve got folks nearby who’d be calling tomorrow. Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent shortly after 9 this morning, saying my washing machine's warranty had expired but could be extended for another 2 years at a 'special rate' of just £6.95 a month, supposedly because I’m a pensioner. She somehow had all my details - name, address, phone number and even my date of birth. The price sounded tempting if it was legit, but I was suspicious. When I started asking questions like, "Who exactly are you?", "Where are you calling from?" and "How did you get my info?", she just ended the call. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from a bloke with a noisy background like a call centre, and he actually called me by my name, "Hello Mrs xxxx." I just said "hello" back. Then he asks, "Can you hear me?" I answered, "Yeah, I can hear you" - I always avoid saying "yes" 'cause they might record it and use it against you. He introduced himself as Max and said he was ringing about my washing machine being out of warranty. I just ended the call straight away since my washer is well over ten years old. Total SCAMMERS!

For the past five years, our phone number has been on the radar of all sorts of scammers. They often pretend to be from Microsoft. Just yesterday, we got a call claiming to be from Manchester, and then one today saying it was from London.
