I got a call from an unknown number at about 5.45 in the evening. When I picked up, there was dead silence on the other side. No voice, no noise. I reckon it was some sort of dodgy automated telemarketing system that’s broken or not working right.

There’s a firm named ONE BILL TELECOM - a while ago, BT used to offer phone and broadband together as a "one bill" deal, so for a moment I actually thought this was legit. Definitely worth looking them up on Google first!

I got one of those automated calls where the line just went dead right after they answered. I rang them back and some guy picked up but never said who he was, just asked "how can I assist you?" When I told him I got a call from this number that dropped out, he straight away started pushing some broadband and landline package. Proper annoying and felt like harassment.
