Callers typically possess personal and vehicle details, raising concerns about data misuse and breaches of privacy regulations, including GDPR. They frequently refuse to disclose company information, become rude when challenged, and hang up if questioned about data sources. These calls are linked to "ambulance chasing" practices, urging people to make false injury claims, which exacerbates insurance costs. Them lot keep calling, and I’m always up for a chat, so I drag it out as much as I can, acting all curious and keen on what they’re pitching. Then I throw loads of maths at them, like asking about percentages but then hit em with “what’s 25% of zero?” They proper lose it when they realise I’ve been mucking about. Still, these calls do seem to drop off after a bit, which honestly takes the edge off my fun!

02030112264 - Been getting calls from this number like 7 times in two weeks. I’ve blocked it but they still left a voicemail saying I need to call back about a car crash, which is totally fake! Definitely a scam and I’ve reported them. It’s so annoying, they shouldn’t be able to get away with it!

Got a call from a number a few days ago and blocked it straight away. Just read reviews here and looks like it's the same lot (saying something about a road traffic accident). Didn't pick up and honestly glad I didnt. Going to block this one as well now.

I seem to be receiving phone calls every couple of days regarding that accident I had back in May. The callers are well aware of which insurance company I use and claim that my details have been sold off to marketing firms without my consent. They assured me they could assist in reclaiming £2000 that I’m apparently owed, insisting there's no way to halt the process. I brought up GDPR during one of these conversations, and they promptly terminated the call.

02030112644 Cheers for all the info, folks. I've gone ahead and blocked it now.

Like others have mentioned, it’s some kind of insurance scam. The moment you ask them how they got your info, they just drop the call. I’ve blocked that number now.

I’ve received numerous calls from them, claiming I’d been involved in a car accident. Every time, I’ve insisted they take me off their list and then promptly hung up.

Just scams - best to block or ignore them!

Just like everyone else has said, it’s another sketchy firm trying to chase insurance money. Seriously, why can’t the UK take a leaf outta Finland’s book and ban this rubbish altogether?

They said I could get some sort of compensation for an injury. I asked to talk to a manager to see which company had sold my details. Then they just cut the call on me.

After seeing what others said, I've stopped picking up any 020 numbers. If it’s something important, they’ll leave a voicemail. I look up the number on this site and if it’s dodgy, I block it. They only call my mobile now since I have a blocker on my landline with over 5000 blocked numbers - only had to add two manually there. It’s a pain to keep blocking each one on my phone but if it stops them from just using new numbers, I suppose it’s worth it.

They ring me about three times a day, usually from different numbers, and I can't block them coz my phone is a bit old. I've flagged the calls as suspicious because they might scare someone who's more sensitive than me.

Heads up, these lot are con artists trying to get info about my car crash. Total rip off, they keep calling me like 5 or 6 times daily. So annoying!

Totally done with these calls about some car crash money. They keep hitting me up from new numbers every time, and I keep blocking them. So annoying! Grrr.

The number is 020 3011 2644. If they keep calling you from different numbers, it might be worth getting a BT 8600 Call-Blocker phone. This lets you block whole ranges of numbers. Like in this case, you could block every number starting with 020 3011 26 [last digits from 2600 to 2699]. If that’s not enough, you can block all starting 020 3011 2 [last digits 2000 to 2999]. And if it’s still a problem, block every number starting 020 3011 [last digits 0000 to 9999]. For extreme cases, you can even block every London number just by putting 020! ;-)

This company is getting insurance claims info without permission and cold calling people to scam them into fake injury claims. It’s a clear breach of GDPR rules. The folks who run the insurance database need to be responsible for letting this happen and for selling access to people’s private info. The callers are really unpleasant and just drop the call if you ask who they are or question them in any way.
8 years
So, it seems my info was probably shared with these lot through the insurance database. I can’t help but think this firm might be linked to one of the major car insurers. Does anyone have any idea? It just doesn’t make sense that anyone would hand over customer details to a bunch of claim hunters unless they’re benefiting from it somehow?
8 years
Complete jokers!! I’ve had a word with them, and their info is all over the place and totally wrong for why they’re ringing me. They honestly have no legit reason to call - I told them that and asked to be taken off their list, but they kept ringing anyway. Last time I told them it felt like harassment, and they just hung up on me! Yet they keep calling - proper idiots!! I’ve had enough and blocked the number now.

Got a call about a crash I was in a few months back. Apparently, there’s a general insurance database where insurers trade our info. I’ve had about eight calls in the past couple of weeks and told them loads of times to stop calling and wipe my details. Had a couple of rude blokes who started getting pretty disrespectful when I said I wasn’t interested. They don’t even stick to one number or company name. Honestly, selling our info like this and these dodgy cold calls should be banned completely.

A firm called Apex keeps ringing me about some accident back in May 2017. They say they’re still dealing with a file and need to confirm if I’m owed any compensation. I’ve had quite a few calls from them, and even after saying no one got hurt and my insurance sorted everything, they just won’t quit. When will these companies be made to stop? I usually don’t pick up, but I thought it might be important this time and accidentally answered. Definitely not again!

These blokes keep ringing me non-stop! I picked up once, and they spun some story about my husband being in a nasty accident last July. When I clarified that he wasn’t involved in anything of the sort, they abruptly ended the call. Yet, the calls persist! It’s quite maddening, really.

I got a ring from this number from a woman named Shannon, saying she was from First Action. She mentioned an accident I had back in 2016 and knew loads about it like my car, registration and when it happened. She kept pushing me to make a claim for pain I supposedly had for just one day. Then she said if I was willing to say the pain lasted about 8 weeks, I could potentially get more than £2000 in compensation.

Hey everyone, with the updated Data Protection laws, those so-called helpful claims callers could actually face fines up to 4% of their yearly income. So just keep in mind, from May 1st, 2018, politely tell them under GDPR that you want the RIGHT TO BE FORGOTTEN. If they keep bothering you after that, just report them to the Data Protection Authority. They’ll soon quit when fines start flying. Good luck! ;)

They wouldn’t say who they were, just kept saying I had an accident I could make a claim about - bit odd cos I don’t recall anything like that. Sounds like they’re after older people especially - my advice is don’t pick up, just block and bin the number.

I received a particularly discourteous phone call from an individual who insisted that I had been involved in an accident. Got a call about an accident that never happened - actually, it was some kind of vandalism done by strangers. When I asked them to take me off their list, they flat out refused and then said I deserved it. Honestly, such a rude and awful person to deal with.

Totally agree!!! I made a claim through these guys after my crash and they helped me get everything sorted, after that the calls just stopped! Anyone who reckons claim companies don’t bother helping you is seriously clueless! We drivers put loads into the system so of course I want a bit of that back after my accident, why wouldn’t I?! People blindly defending their insurance firms who’ll just screw you over eventually are so daft.
8 years
you lot are just moaning about claim calls non stop... instead of whinging why not just make a claim and get some cash? haha... honestly these firms only have your info cause your own insurance company sold it on anyway lol so stop crying and start making the most of it!

They keep insisting that I was involved in a car accident where someone hit me from the side. It’s obviously just a cold call, and it’s quite infuriating to be targeted by these scammers.

Said they was from 1st Direct insurance, telling me my car had been in a crash, got hit on the side supposedly. This ain't the first time they've rung, had about 5 calls in the last 10 days.

I’ve been inundated with calls from these individuals relentlessly inquiring whether I had an accident back in 2017. Despite my repeated requests for them to cease, they persist in their relentless pursuit. It’s rather frustrating, to say the least!

They kept ringing me non stop every day, saying they were from O2 and then texting saying my phone would get blocked if I didn’t reply. Ignored and blocked them quick, definitely a total scam.

Just like everyone else, we kept getting these calls and when we asked how to make them stop, they just said to file a claim, otherwise they’d keep calling for like two and a half years.

I've encountered a claims management firm attempting to persuade drivers involved in accidents to lodge fraudulent personal injury claims.

Proper fed up with these accident claim firms ringing me. It’s been two months after the crash and they still call me loads every week, drives me mad.

This number keeps ringing my home phone, and when I pick up, there's nothing but silence on the other end. Is there really no way to put an end to these ridiculous nuisance calls?

I've received two calls from this bothersome number, and both times they've just hung up as soon as I picked up. I'm convinced it's some sort of scam.

02030112644 keep calling me, so tired of it. They asked if I’d had an accident lately, and I just said yeah, couldn’t make it to the loo in time and ended up making a right mess ??

I keep getting calls from this number, persistently trying to persuade us to falsely claim for a personal injury that we've never sustained, all linked to supposed vehicle damage in a car park. It's all rather suspicious, to say the least. I've already reported it to our insurance provider, as it appears they possess information that we've only shared with them. Quite concerning, really!

Like what others have said before me, I just bombard them with a bunch of questions and after a while they give up and hang up.

Ignored the call and blocked it - sounded like one of those accident claim firms...

Just like other folks say, I wasn’t hurt in any crash but these people are real smooth talkers, always trying to get you chatting. Keep in mind, if someone makes a fake claim for cash, that’s a criminal offence (fraud by false pretences). Tell them to jog on straight away!

I'm still getting hassled by these scumbags about a no fault claim I put in last year.

These folks are nothing but annoying cold callers. I'd recommend simply blocking their number.

Had exactly the same thing happen to me. I filled out forms from the Insurer saying I wasn’t making a claim because me and my daughter had been examined by a doctor at the hospital and were fine. But they keep ringing me up telling me I’m owed £3,500. Proper annoying!

Lately, ive been getting bombarded by loads of these ambulance chaser types - this is the 11th time now. They all use numbers that look really alike, which just makes it more confusing. Ive developed quite the sharp tongue for them cos they always call at the worst possible moments. Also been noticing some weird calls from numbers starting 016 recently.

I told them the person they’re after passed away in a crash just to stop the calls, but they keep ringing anyway. Proper pests.

These people are just after accidents! I’ve stopped picking up my phone altogether now.

He straight-up said if I put my name on the form saying I got hurt in the accident, their doctor would back it up, even though I told him the car didn’t move and I wasn’t hurt at all. I asked him if he really wanted me to lie, and he just said, “there’s £3,500 on the table and if you don’t sign, you’ll miss out.”

They ring us a couple times every day and we've asked them loads of times to take our number off their list. This has been going on for months!! They pick the worst times to call!!! The time before last I told them off pretty bluntly, but even that didn’t make them stop!!!

I didn’t even pick up when this number rang the first time but blocked it after looking it up here. They keep ringing me every single day though. No idea what their game is and honestly, I couldn’t be bothered. How are they still allowed to carry on like this?
