There was a pause before the caller said he was some sort of energy advisor and claimed my loft insulation was out of date. I just stared at my phone thinking what nonsense is this! Before he could go on, I cut him off and ended the call. For context, I live in a flat on the second floor and we have a flat roof, so no loft to speak of.

Got a recorded message at first that just kept glitching, then some bloke started talking saying he's an energy advisor for the local area. Sounds like another scam to me, trying to get into your home and get personal info. There ain't no such thing as a "local energy advisor". Just ended the call and blocked the number. These calls come from different 020 numbers as well.

The way they spoke was a bit odd, and when I tried to cut in, their response felt pretty unnatural. They kept going on about poor roof insulation, which seemed like some kind of rehearsed line. I reckon this might’ve been my first time on the phone with a sort of AI bot. Kinda made me think, to be honest!
