Phone number ☎️ 02030007950 👆 is reported as a persistently nuisance number linked to calls about fabricated car accidents, pressuring recipients for personal information. Callers often exhibit rude, aggressive or abusive behaviour, repeatedly ignoring requests to remove numbers from their lists. The calls are associated with an insurance scam and stem from firms operating via Digital Mail Ltd, which provides virtual London numbers but does not originate these calls directly. Blocking the number offers limited relief, as callers frequently switch to similar numbers. Several complainants confirm the calls originate from abroad, particularly South Africa, though they appear local due to number spoofing. Victims are urged to report the calls to official bodies and directly contact Digital Mail Ltd to demand action. Overall, the number is widely regarded as a scam and harassment risk, with advice to avoid answering or engaging.

Somebody rang me saying they were from "Motor investigations" about an accident that never happened. I tried to report them to TPS since I’m on the register, but TPS couldn’t confirm the company’s info. I also told the company a few times to take me off their list, but they didn’t bother. Think I’ll follow the advice here and get in touch with Digital Mail shortly.

020 3000 7950, defo not spoofed. When you ring this number you get some fake message saying they can take your number off their calling list. Problem is, scammers might already have all your personal info, so they should honour your TPS request not to be called. But instead, they just keep cold calling, and TPS doesn’t usually do much about foreign firms with dodgy names trying to slip under the radar in the UK. The best thing you can do? Call Digital Mail on 020 7060 2000 and ask them to tell their clients to quit pestering you!

They keep ringing me nonstop about some insurance scam, even when I warned them I'd report to the police, they just laughed it off. These people, not from here, use loads of different numbers linked to Digital Mail. So blocking the number doesn't stop the calls at all and Digital Mail support says these calls are faked. Digital Mail sells these numbers and makes a lot of money because the 020 3000 XXXX numbers are actually virtual Digital Mail phone lines.

Total scammer talking rubbish about a car crash that never took place.

I've had a right time with these repeated calls. It's infuriating how they keep insisting I've been involved in an accident, changing their tale each time. First, it was a pile-up; then it was a mishap at some traffic lights, and before I knew it, they were claiming it happened at a roundabout! I must've told them countless times that I've never had an accident, nor been in any vehicle that has, yet the blokes just wouldn’t relent. I finally lost my patience and asked if they were grasping what I was saying, repeating it oh-so-slowly for their benefit, considering they were always overtalking me! I made it abundantly clear-don't bother calling again. Ridiculous buffoons, honestly! Usually, I keep my cool, but not this time. Just do yourself a favour and don't answer if they ring.

Got a call saying I'd been in a small car accident. Had a few calls before but never picked up. This time, I answered and asked what accident they were on about since I've never had one. Then he said it was a tiny scratch on my car from over 2 years ago. Told him to remove me from their list, but he kept trying to pass me to someone else to talk to.

Got called by them again, like 3 or 4 times daily which is mental. This time I picked up right away cos I knew it was them. Bloke was proper rude and yelling on the phone. Told him he was talking nonsense since I’ve never had any crash. After a bit of back and forth, I just told him off and he ended up hanging up. Fingers crossed they stop harassing me now.

Strangely enough, if you look up the Companies House info for 'Digital Mail Ltd' you’ll see it’s partly owned by a George Erasmus Darwin and a Robert Darwin - who, according to Wikipedia, are apparently related to Charles Darwin (!). Not quite the prestigious line of work you'd expect from that family name.

I just got a call from these lot, similar to what everyone’s saying about some accident my missus supposedly had. When I grabbed the reins and flipped the convo, asking him where he found my number and where he was located, he dodged every question and just called me daft. And that was with me staying calm, no shouting or rude words at all. Now that we’ve figured out who they are, I’m makin’ sure everyone gets warned.

I asked to have my number taken off their list, but apparently that’s not an option. I then warned I’d report them to the police for harassment, which he didn’t take well and hung up. About 5 minutes later, the same number called again, this time the bloke actually used my name - I have no idea where he got that from. I told him he was useless and that nobody wanted to deal with his scam, told him to jog on and used a few choice words. Haven’t heard from them since!

Picked up 'cause I was fed up with them calling - proper rude bloke on the line claiming I'd been in an accident. I told him no, I hadn’t and asked to be removed from their list. Suddenly he got quite hostile, saying “What do you mean, I’ve got your renewal and you said you had a bump in the past 2 years.” I matched his tone and shot back, “What do YOU mean? I’ve had insurance forever and no accidents. Goodbye!” Bet he wasn’t thrilled - complete scam if you ask me!

Got one of those typical 'you've been involved in a car crash' calls. I told the woman I hadn’t been in any crash, but she kept saying it wasn’t an accident, just a minor ‘incident’ with some slight damage. I argued that’s still an accident, but she seemed to think an accident is only when multiple cars are involved or the car is completely wrecked. Totally daft, stubborn, and really pushy - so I just blocked the number!

Most effective way to handle these calls is to get a bit personal: they start with their usual spiel, and I just say, "You know, your family must be really disappointed in what you do for a job." Usually leaves them speechless for a sec, then they go off on a rant before hanging up. Feels like a point scored for me every time - and it cheers me up too! :-)

I recently had a rather dubious call from someone purporting to be Shirley, with a distinctly foreign accent. She claimed to be associated with an organisation investigating motor incidents, insisting that I had been involved in a car crash. Honestly, it reeked of a scam - one of those phishing outfits that prey on the unsuspecting. It turns out this lot rang me from yet another dodgy Digital Mail number in London while trying to convince me they were based in Manchester; however, their roots seemed to lead back to South Africa once again. Like many others here, I find myself inundated with these unwanted calls from overseas. Blocking these nuisances seems futile, as they simply circle back with a different 020 3000 number. The only sensible approach to tackle this torment seems to be making contact with Digital Mail directly at 020 7060 2000 to try and rid ourselves of these persistent callers from South Africa.

After receiving numerous calls, I finally picked up the phone, only to be grilled about a driving incident from the last couple of years. These scammers are just looking for easy targets who’ll fall for their tricks. They are con artists who, once they latch onto someone, will start asking for personal info or bank details. They just say the calls aren’t from them but what laws do we have to protect us from this nonsense? I get loads of scam calls like this every single day, and they keep ringing even after I hang up. I can't make calls or receive any until the call finally stops.

Got a call on my phone from someone saying they were from a car insurance firm. No idea how they got my number. The woman was quite pushy when I told her I don’t drive or own a vehicle, then she quickly switched up her story saying they knew I was a passenger involved in a minor crash a few years back. Asked where they got my mobile from and she claimed it was shared with them because of that accident. Not sure where she was from, sounded foreign. Really off-putting experience.

Got a call about a car crash. Told her I'd never been in one. Then she said it wasn't about a crash but a scratch on a car. Erm, that’s still an accident right? I tried telling her again that I wasn't involved in anything like that. She was really rude and spoke to me like I was stupid. Said she'd have to check with some third party. Proper nasty woman!

Received four calls from this number today, but didn’t pick up any of them.

Dont pick up! Wouldnt listen when I said no, kept saying I’d been in a big car crash, which I denied. Then tried saying it was a parking accident?! Proper dodgy! Then some sort of drive-by thing? Seriously rude behaviour! Just blocked them straight away!

I've been getting persistent phone calls lately. When I do answer, it only rings for about five seconds before they hang up. I've decided to just keep blocking the number.

Received a call about some car crash compensation. Complete con!

I never used to dodge calls but now I’m wary of any unknown number. Surely if it’s important they'll leave a voicemail? So yeah, I just don’t pick up and block straight away. What muppets.

Got a call about some fake accident I supposedly had, and when I told him he was talking rubbish, he just went "Well, enjoy all the other companies blowing up your phone!" and then he just ended the call!

JUST GOT A CALL FROM SOME JERK, CAN’T STOP BEING RUDE, MUMBLING IN WEIRD ASIAN/ENGLISH MIX. HAD TO PLAY ALONG AND MAKE HIM REPEAT HIMSELF LIKE 5 TIMES, THEN HE JUST DROPPED THE CALL. NOTHING BETTER THAN PISSING OFF THESE MORONS!

Just got a call saying I was in an accident and there’s £2500 waiting for me. Total scam. Haven’t had any accident so why bother calling?

Whenever I get calls from these types of numbers, I like to answer in a kiddie voice and ask 'is that my mam/dad?' It really throws them off and they never ring again!

Somebody rang me pretending to be from motor accident investigations and hinted that I was running into trouble with the cops. The cheeky South African bloke on the phone warned me not to be shocked if I got a police summons. Luckily, I know a lad who works as a police crash investigator, so I'll be passing this on to him.

Really hard to follow, was going on about me qualifying for £2500 compensation for a car accident I don’t remember at all!! Sounded way too good to be true, so I just ended the call. They called back a few times after that. Definitely scammers!

Just had a call a short while ago from what seemed to be an Asian chap claiming I’d been involved in a car accident two years back. The thing is, I’ve never had an accident! I pressed him for details about when this supposedly happened, but he couldn’t provide a single answer. After asking multiple times, he quite rudely told me to 'shut my mouth'. What really puzzles me is how on earth he got hold of both my mobile number and my name. The number he called me on is my work phone, which is only known to a select few colleagues. It’s all very odd, to say the least.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from some 'motor accident investigation' group, saying I was owed money for my car after an accident. Told her I don’t even own a car, then she said I was apparently a passenger in the crash. Told her to figure it out because I’ve never been in any accident, and she just cut me off.

I received a call where they mentioned my name! How on earth did they have such information about the person behind the number?

Had a few missed calls from this number. I called back on a whim and got a message saying they were 'crash investigators'. Since I haven’t been in any accidents, I chose option 1 to get off their list. After reading other reviews, I decided to block the number too, just to be safe.

A chap rang me earlier, claiming I’d been involved in some sort of car incident. I told him quite firmly that I had no such thing occur, to which he responded, "Why would I fabricate this?!" Quite right, I thought, why indeed? I pressed him for specifics on when this supposed "incident" took place, but all he could muster was that it had been within the last two years-vague, much? He had an incredibly condescending tone, almost affronted that I would deny any accident. I eventually decided to terminate the conversation and promptly blocked his number.

I received two calls from this number, and during the second one, a chap with a South African accent said he was representing a Crash Incident Centre based in Manchester. When I pressed for further details, he ominously mentioned that I ought to expect a police summons shortly. I've decided to lodge a complaint with Ofcom and reach out to the police incident centre about this.

I rang the number back and some automated voice came on saying something about 'crash investigators'... it must mean that accident I was in last year. I chose option 1 to get my details taken off their list. Not expecting much to happen tho.

I can't take it anymore! This number keeps pestering me with unsolicited calls about car accidents, sometimes ringing me as much as three to five times a day. I'm stuck in an office all day and simply can't afford the distraction of these constant interruptions. Is there anyone who could help me block this number? It's really getting on my nerves!

Got some daft bloke yelling at me over the phone when I asked where he was calling from. He got all stroppy and just slammed the phone down - lovely! I reckon just keep them on the line as long as you can, waste their time, then block 'em. Job’s a good’un!

I received a call today regarding my vehicle, claiming that a third party wished to lodge a claim against me. The trouble is, I've had no such incident, so I declined to share any information. The caller had an accent that sounded either African or Asian and became quite hostile, raising their voice when I stood firm in not disclosing any details. After enduring 11 such calls in just over a week, I’ve finally decided to block the number for good.
