i got a call with just some noise in the background at first, then a friendly woman claimed she was calling from windows about an issue with my PC. i told her it was odd since i use a mac and no windows at all, then she just hung up. bit strange, eh?

Pretty much like the others mentioned here. I sort of humoured the person for a bit just to kill time since they kept me waiting, then I asked if any of these dodgy calls ever lead to anything, and ended the call.

I picked up when this number called me, but the person hung up straight away. After seeing all the comments here, I'm honestly relieved they didn't say anything.

some bloke said hes from microsoft and had super important stuff to tell me. when i asked for his number he gave me 03448002400, which actually belongs to microsoft. but after i told him it sounded like a scam i ended the call. later i checked the last number that called me, 02030006961, and it turned out to be another dodgy scam outfit.

i got a call from a guy with an asian accent named alex watson, who said he was from windows support. he told me my computer was under a serious cyber attack and hackers were trying to get in. when i said it sounded like a scam, he tried to convince me otherwise, saying he had a wife and kids to care for and that the call was being recorded so he wouldn't risk losing his job. he kept saying he was officially trained by windows. but when i asked for a phone number to check if he was legit, he just ended the call. he was pretty convincing though.

Got a call from a landline, but they hung up before I could get to the voicemail. Don’t recognise the number at all.

i got a call from someone with an american accent, said they were from some call blocking company. they actually knew my surname and an old address i used to live at. then they wanted my bank account expiry date which i said i dont have with me and then they claimed my reference number was my full card number! as soon as i said no way, they just hung up on me!

Got a call claiming to be from BT warning me my internet was going to be cut off soon and to ring a support line. Since I’m not even with BT for my internet, I just ended the call straight away.

This cheeky number’s been bugging me again, even though I’ve already had at least half a dozen calls since the 21st of May. Honestly, it’s more than just annoying now - feels like proper harassment! When will they finally manage to block these dodgy scammers once and for all?

Number 020 3000 6961 called me earlier from someone with an Asian accent. They kept asking if I was Mr M - - - m, but the bloke they wanted died decades ago, like in 1961 or something. Seriously, don’t these folks have better things to do? Maybe get a real job that actually helps people for once? I told him off pretty harshly, threw in a cheeky insult just out of frustration. Haven't heard from them since!

So this guy called Charles Wilson said he was from Microsoft. Being quite elderly, I kinda went along with what he said at first, but then I started feeling suspicious and ended the call. Just a heads up to everyone, watch out for these types of scams!

it’s quite something reading all these comments. i’ve received a couple of calls from 0203 numbers, which are local. i usually never pick up if the number’s not saved or says ‘unknown’. i’ve got call protect set up on my phone too, just to be safe.

She said if I didn’t work with her, I’d get blacklisted and my computer would stop working.

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be from Microsoft, said something about a serious issue. I told him not to ring me again, but he just wouldn’t listen. Left a message then suddenly cut me off. Proper dodgy scammers for sure!

it was one of those fake calls pretending to be from microsoft tech support. i messd around with him for a short while but then said i was going to hang up, and actually did. he then called back straight away askin why i ended the call, so i told him it was a scam and said goodbye. then he phoned once more and i told him to leave me alone or i'd report him for harrassment.

They tried to scare me by saying my computer would get blocked and id end up blacklisted if I didn’t play along. Then some supposed supervisor got on the line and repeated the same threats - felt like a total scam.
