Phone number ☎️ 02003330275 👆 is reported as a persistent scam number falsely claiming to be HMRC, threatening legal action, lawsuits, or arrest over alleged unpaid taxes. Callers often use automated messages pressuring recipients, particularly targeting elderly or vulnerable people, to provide personal details or engage by pressing a number, which often results in the call ending abruptly or further distress. Genuine HMRC communications do not operate this way. Recipients consistently report calls causing anxiety and stress, frequently hanging up or ignoring the calls, and warn against returning calls or pressing any numbers. It is recommended to block and report this number to relevant authorities, such as Action Fraud or the ICO, to help prevent further distress and fraud.

This number has phoned me a couple of times saying my husband was owed a tax refund because he supposedly overpaid last year. Bit odd since my dear husband passed away back in 2014, so no way this is legit. Honestly, I don’t think they understand that! I've gone ahead and blocked the number twice on my phone now.

Got a call from this number claiming to be from HMRC about unpaid taxes dating back to 2015. The person on the line went on about a lawsuit and said they were coming to seize my stuff - cars, assets, everything. They even mentioned a warrant for my arrest and threatened I’d be deported! I told them straight I’m a UK native, then let them have it with some salty language before hanging up. Honestly, it gave me a real fright. I’m still getting over a stroke, so the stress just sent my blood pressure sky high - not what I needed at all!

I was dozing off when the phone rang and I only heard 'HMRC' and something about prosecution at the tail end, which made my heart race since I’m self-employed. Such cruel folks for pulling this scam. What do they really expect to get out of it? My husband tried ringing them back but all he got was a message saying to leave a voicemail. Fingers crossed I don’t end up in trouble because of this.

This number keeps calling me all the time. Most of the time when I answer and there's just silence, I hang up straight away. But today I thought I'd hang on a bit longer to see who's behind it - after only a few seconds, an automated voice said "goodbye" and then the call ended.

Got a call from 02003330275 today and quickly figured it was dodgy. I tried to report it to Action Fraud but after waiting over 15 minutes on hold, I just gave in and hung up. They used a recorded message, so my usual trick with the whistle by the phone didn’t do a thing!

Never hit "1" when they tell ya to, it’s usually for their own gain. Could easily be a disguised premium line charging you loads, like £8 or even more each time. Best to double-check with your phone company first.
