Got a call claiming to be from the NHS about the covid jab, but then the woman (Asian accent, quite hard to catch) started asking if I had life or private health insurance, saying it was to help the NHS get some kind of grants or whatever. When I asked why they needed that info, she just kept going over the same question. Felt fishy, so I ended the call. Watch out, this sounds like a scam.

Honestly, I should have just ended the call straight away since the NHS already has all that info. When he asked who my insurance was through, I told him my husband sorts that out. Just got a call from someone claiming to be Michael Smith, but he had a strong Indian accent that didn’t match. He said he was from the ‘NHS covid 19 service’ and wanted to check if I’d had my vaccine and how I was feeling after it. Weirdly, he already knew my address and said they’d send me something in the post? Then he asked if I had life insurance and insisted on 'updating' it for me if I gave him the company’s name. I told him I’d sort it myself if needed, but he kept pushing. When I asked for his contact info, he refused, saying the number he called from was just an extension for a London office and gave me an address on 12 Endeavour Square, London, E20 1JN. At this point, I told him I was hanging up as I didn’t trust what he was saying and all the stuff he already knew made me suspicious. Be careful sharing info with these sorts of calls - this has got scam written all over it. I work for the NHS and we’d never ask about your insurance like that. Blocked the number straight away.
