I've been receiving mysterious text messages from numbers I don't recognise, and I'm starting to think they're not genuine at all. It's a bit unsettling, to say the least!

I received a dodgy call from a rather dubious Indian call centre. They’re attempting to prompt one-time codes through text messages, mischievously coaxing you to divulge them for a supposed discount. ⚠️ DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY CODES.
It’s evident they’re fishing for information gleaned from an old data breach, as they had a go at initiating account resets with O2 – but having switched my number to another provider ages ago, their ploy fell flat. Rather amusingly, when that failed, they simply hung up, clearly mortified!

I received a call merely five minutes prior, with the caller claiming to represent O2. Initially, he mentioned a 20% discount on my plan. Upon further inquiry, he increased it to 30%. I made it clear that I was not interested, as I never engage with or make any decisions based on unsolicited calls, and promptly hung up.

Blimey, I’d barely activated my new phone number when I got a call from "O2," trying to entice me with some so-called “incredible offer” on a contract I’d signed up for just the day before. Talk about uncanny timing!

Just received a call moments ago from a number I had just blocked—01618841275. The person on the line purporting to represent O2 was touting some sort of promotion. It’s evident this is nothing more than a scam.

I'm not familiar with this phone number at all.

St Clears is such a charming little spot in Wales that I'm quite familiar with. Honestly, nobody from St Clears speaks in that manner. It’s just another dodgy scam from abroad. When is OFCOM going to step up and take action against these fraudsters? They really ought to dish out some fines, prosecute, and toss them all in the slammer—or maybe even better, send them to Davy Jones’ locker!

Received a call from someone speaking Mandarin, claiming to be from UPS, saying they have a parcel for me. The thing is, I haven’t ordered anything, and I’m using a fresh phone number. I wouldn’t recommend answering if they ring you. I chose not to, but they did leave a voicemail. Just a heads up!

Received a call claiming to be from Currys about my mobile contract, offering a complimentary upgrade and an improved deal. The caller had an Indian accent. I courteously informed her that I'm not interested in unsolicited calls and promptly ended the conversation.

I received a call from a chap purporting to be from O2, but he hung up before he could even launch into his sales spiel. Quite odd, really!

I've had a rather dodgy call from someone purporting to be O2, offering me some discount and promising a code in return. Just a word of caution, don’t hand over any codes to them, it’s all a ruse! Simply hang up the phone. I recognise this scam all too well!

I received a call claiming to be from 3, supposedly representing Curry's, and they mentioned something about a whopping 40% off. The caller inquired about the type of phone I was using, but I decided to cut the conversation short and terminate the call.

I received a dodgy call from someone purporting to be from O2, hailing from an Indian call centre. The usual nonsense – they said I could snag a 40% discount, but I needed to divulge a code sent to me via text. Quite the cheek, if you ask me!

It was baffling, to say the least! They claimed to be from EE and mentioned something about a 40% discount. However, as I’m currently with iD, their offer wouldn’t serve me at all. As soon as I caught the word 'discount,' I promptly ended the call!

I had a ring from a number that wasn’t identified, and the caller failed to give any sort of introduction. I haven’t a clue who it could be.

I couldn't take the first call, so I decided to return the number. My phone promptly informed me that it was an invalid number, which led me to block them straight away.

Just had a ring from this number, but I chose not to pick up since it wasn’t familiar to me!

I received a call from this number earlier today, but when I picked up, there was silence on the other end. I attempted to return the call only to be informed that it was a wrong number. A quick search on Google revealed that it belongs to St Clare, and apparently, they’re up to no good, masquerading as EE to fish for personal details and potentially access my bank account. I've now blocked the number and will be reporting them forthwith.

I picked up the phone, and a woman with a distinctly Indian accent introduced herself, claiming to be from the sales team of Virgin Media. I politely declined with a quick “no thank you” and hung up the phone without a second thought.

I missed the call earlier and had a hunch it might be a scam. When I tried to ring them back, I found out I’d called the wrong number. Definitely gives off a spammy vibe!
