I answered the phone to a chap's voice greeting me with a "hello." It had that typical call centre vibe, so I opted to remain silent. He then repeated his hello, but this time added a rather crude "hello mother f###er" before he decided to hang up. Quite the cheeky encounter, if you ask me!

We tend to ignore calls from numbers we don’t recognise. If it’s something significant, they can just send a letter instead. Poole, Dorset.

Someone rang me up claiming they had to revise my policy because of the increased life expectancy. I was under the impression it wasn’t my life insurance company, though!

Received a call today purporting to be about a review of my life insurance policy. When I inquired about which company I'm supposedly insured through, they mentioned a rather prominent name. Quite amusing really, considering I don’t even have life insurance!
