Just had a call moments ago, dated 22nd October 2019, from someone claiming that my computer was infected with a virus. I let him know that I don’t even own a computer, and that he was just squandering my time. He got rather irate and swore at me, so I decided to hang up and promptly blocked the number.

I've had these individuals ring me a handful of times now, claiming that my computer's been compromised. I inquired, “Are we on about the one at my residence?” and they confirmed. However, I wasn’t at home at the time. The chap mentioned he’d ring me again in about an hour. He introduced himself as Chris. I can't help but wonder why he hasn't reached out yet.

I received quite the odd phone call today! This chappy on the line was attempting to extract some cash from me, claiming that my computer was bombarding them with alerts about viruses or some such nonsense. Naturally, I saw through it – as soon as I mentioned I don't possess a computer, they promptly ended the conversation. So, keep your wits about you, everyone!

I received a call informing me that my computer was under attack and that they could remedy the situation for a fee of £500! The amusing part? I'm an IT professional myself and well aware of the ins and outs. Clearly, they have the wrong person on the line! 😄
