I could distinctly hear their discomfort as they munched on crisps and doughnuts. They were quiet at first, but then I caught the sound of them spraying some budget deodorant under their arms. It's quite clear this is a dodgy operation.

I received a call from someone with a rather exotic accent claiming they had a phone deal just for me. It seems like I get these types of calls quite frequently, and I can't shake the feeling that my details are being shared among various scammers. It’s clearly a dodgy operation.

Received a call from 01993665032, an Asian gentleman who greeted me with the typical "hello, good morning, how are you?" He claimed to be from EE. At that point, my phone abruptly disconnected. Just a heads-up for everyone: this is a potential scammer. Best to block the number as it originates from Witney in Oxfordshire!

I received a rather peculiar phone call today from a chap named Shahid, who had a distinctly South Asian accent. He claimed to be calling from 3, attempting to entice me with some festive offer—a whopping 35% off my current contract. Quite frankly, I found it a bit odd, so I asked him whether that discount applied to all three of my contracts with them. Instead of a proper answer, he chuckled sarcastically, said "bye bye," and promptly ended the call. How charming!

I received a call from someone attempting to push a mobile phone contract, it had all the hallmarks of a dodgy scam. The caller had an Asian accent but their English was rather muddled, to say the least. When I inquired about their company or who they represented, they just repeated “hello” like a parrot. I then asked who they wished to speak to, and again, all I got was “hello.” Clearly, this was not a legitimate call, so I cut the conversation short and swiftly blocked the number. If they can’t provide a name or the name of their company, you know it’s best to steer clear!

Received a call from a chap named James claiming to be from Curries; he had a distinct Indian accent. He was quite polite, inquiring about my well-being. I politely replied that I was doing well but had to inform him that Curries wasn’t really my cup of tea. I thanked him and swiftly ended the conversation. It’s clear the number was spoofed—definitely felt like a scam to me!

I received a call from a gentleman who sounded like he might be of Asian descent, perhaps Indian or Pakistani, and he was claiming to represent an accident claims line. The issue? I’ve never had an accident! It seems clear to me that this is just another scam attempt targeted at unsuspecting individuals. When I mentioned that my number is registered with the Telephone Preference Service, he didn’t seem bothered at all. As soon as I requested some details about the company he was supposedly working for, he abruptly ended the call. I've lodged a complaint with the TPS, and they’ll be looking into it.

Received a call purporting to be from Curry’s PC World, attempting to sell a bundled phone and TV deal. I informed the chap that I wasn’t keen, and to his credit, he took it well and ended the call courteously. While he seemed polite, I’m still a bit sceptical about the legitimacy; clearly, it was a call centre type of situation.

I got a call from the number listed above yesterday and again today. Both times, the callers said they were from "PHONEHOUSE" and were attempting to offer me a better rate on mobile plans. They both had a noticeable Indian accent, which made it feel like they were working from an office somewhere. When I began to ask some questions, the chap abruptly hung up on me—how incredibly discourteous!
