I received an enigmatic call recently, just as I was on tenterhooks waiting for a call regarding the commencement of my new job. Naturally, I returned the call, only to be met with some rather uninspiring ‘muzak’, as if I was perpetually on hold, lacking even the courtesy of a proper ringtone. This has left me feeling quite uneasy about the potential for extra charges cropping up on my bill.
