Got a call earlier today, 12th March 2019, claiming to be from Microsoft. The caller was spouting the typical nonsense about my PC being infected with harmful software.

this number keeps ringing my phone, and the alerts say it’s dodgy. I get loads of calls from strangers trying to sell stuff like funeral plans, accident lawyers, and all sorts of things I have no interest in. now i just block any calls from numbers I don’t know. there’s a voicemail system so they can leave a message, but guess what? never get one.

someone called claiming to be from bt, saying that hackers were trying to take over my internet and router. they asked me to go on my pc and enter a code they gave me so they could check if my connection was in danger. i ended the call straight away because it seemed dodgy. now, whenever i pick up my landline, all i get is a busy signal! really feels like it was a scam.

They called me two times today. First one came when I wasn’t home, so I looked them up here. The second time I just didn’t answer. From what I’ve read in other comments, I’d say it’s best to just hang up on them.
