Got a call the other day from a number I didn’t recognise, seemed like one of those PPI scam calls trying to catch me out. Noticed it was a typical cold call straight away.

Got a call today from a woman with an Indian/Pakistani accent, sounded like she was in some hectic call centre, weirdly she said it was in Newton Stewart?! She knew my full name, address and postcode, which was a bit creepy. She told me I’d soon get some paperwork to sign and send back regarding PPI claims. When I asked how they got my info, she claimed it was from the "National Consumer Database", but a quick google search showed that’s American, so something felt off. Not really sure what the game was or if it was a scam, but definitely felt dodgy and nothing to do with PPI.
