Some bloke with a thick Yorkshire accent was chatting away from what sounded like a busy call centre. He wanted to speak to my really old, hearing-impaired dad, so I told him to speak to me instead. He actually knew my dad's name and kept saying it was about a mortgage or a credit card from Halifax from ages ago. I told him he must be mistake because my dad’s never had anything to do with Halifax. The caller just hung up mid-sentence. Dad said he got a call like that yesterday but couldn’t hear properly and ended up hanging up. Looks like he tried again this afternoon as well.
