Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent claiming she was from Amazon. She said someone tried buying an iPhone using my Amazon account. When I told her to stop messing about and that it was nonsense, she just ended the call. Total scam. I’m always on the fence about whether to just block these numbers or have a word with the callers and show I’m not fooled. I’m hoping that by calling them out, they’ll take me off their calling lists and leave me alone next time!

I saw the number but didn’t pick up cos it wasn’t familiar. If they really want to talk, they can always drop a voicemail. I tend to ignore calls from unknown numbers since picking up just invites those pesky scammers.

Someone rang claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my PC had been hacked and that my name was linked to online fraud. They mentioned Microsoft had supposedly sent loads of warnings which I could find in the admin notifications. They tried to get me to switch my computer on so they could help, but I told them I was tied up. Then they kept pushing to know when they could call me again. I asked them for a Microsoft contact number just in case, and they gave me 0344 8002400.

Got a call out of the blue saying BT’s about to change their call handling service. They asked if I was the account holder and if payment was through Direct Debit. Then they tried to find out if anyone else used the phone. I told them that was personal info and just ended the call with a quick “bye”.

Absolutely a con! They were attempting to coax me into downloading some software under the guise of fixing my computer. It was an Indian call centre, and the person claimed her name was Leyla. When I jokingly mentioned she had me on my knees, she was completely oblivious. Such a total sham!

I've been getting nonstop calls from IP Voice Networks, and apparently, one of their officers is somewhere in Wales. It’s really frustrating! I suggest giving them a ring or dropping a note to let them know how fed up you are with these scammy calls. Hopefully, they’ll take notice and do something about it.
