9 yearsI'm pretty sure this is just another trick where call centre scams steal your data. The person pretending to be a BT tech knew way too much about me. Stuff like this really ought to be cracked down on.BT9 yearsToday, I received a phone call from this number, and an Asian gentleman was keen to chat with my husband. When I inquired about who was on the line, he completely sidestepped my question and demanded to speak to my husband once more. Pressing him again for identification, he abruptly declared himself as John Morris from BT. He then proceeded to ask for Mrs ***. I informed him that Mrs *** wasn’t available at the moment, and he erupted with a rather foul-mouthed "who the f***ing hell is this?". That was enough for me, and I promptly ended the call. He was quite aggressive and had a very unpleasant manner about him.John MorrisBT9 yearsGot a call about 10:45, didn’t pick up since the number looked strange. Later on, I looked it up and it said it was from BT, but I’m not a BT customer. Might give them a ring back next time just to see what’s going on and maybe mess about a bit.BT9 yearsI got a call from a woman saying she was with BT, but she didn’t seem to know who their CEO is. It felt a bit off, so I just ended the call.BT9 yearsThere’s been a persistent caller bothering an elderly visually impaired woman; whenever she answers, they just cackle and then hang up on her. It’s absolutely disgraceful!9 yearsJust like loads of other folks, I got a call from some scammer with an Indian accent pretending to be from BT. Can't we start spotting these fraudsters quicker?9 yearsGot a call from someone who spoke with an Indian accent and said he was Harry from BT's tech support, even though I don’t have BT. When I asked why he was fibbing, he denied it and acted like I’d offended him. In the end, I just gave up and hung up. Total con job.HarryBT9 yearsGot a call twice now, both dropped quickly. First time it was a woman with an Indian accent claiming she was from BT. When I asked her "what internet connection?" she just ended the call straight away. This is the third attempt in just two days. Quite annoying!BT9 yearsGot a call from a lady with an Indian accent who was really insistent, saying there was a problem with my line. She even mentioned my postcode, which was creepy. I told her I’d get in touch with BT myself. Honestly, watch out - these folks are super pushy!India9 yearsI've been inundated with calls from this number throughout the Easter period, which is rather inconsiderate given the solemnity of the holiday. To make matters worse, there’s never a message left-just the unsettling sound of someone breathing on the line. It's unsettling to say the least. Does anyone have any advice on how I can put an end to this disruptive and rather eerie behaviour?9 yearsI keep getting this same phoney call.9 yearsReceived a call claiming to be from BT, but when I questioned them, they turned really nasty. Definitely a scam.BT9 yearsI received a rather dubious call from a chap with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT regarding a 'technical issue' with my broadband. Something about it just doesn’t sit right with me. I’m quite convinced he’s not genuinely affiliated with BT. Anyone else had a similar experience?BT9 yearsGot a call from 0198574963 the other day, some bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT. He said my internet was at risk and insisted I turn it off for 48 hours. I kept asking him how he planned to fix the issue, but he kept dodging the questions. Eventually, he lost his cool and hung up on me. I actually kept him talking for about half an hour, found it quite funny to hear him getting all annoyed - proper wally.BT9 yearsThis number called me claiming to be "BT Technical Support." When I asked something, they transferred me to a "Supervisor." I kept them talking for about 15 minutes until I threw a curveball with, "If my broadband’s been hacked, what’s my IP?" That really set them off and they started getting rude, so I dropped the call. They were so mad they phoned back twice, and I just ignored the swearing. Eventually, they gave up and hung up themselves.9 yearsReceived a dodgy call from someone claiming to be from BT. They were attempting to instil a sense of panic by saying I had inadvertently downloaded malware that could potentially wreck my computer. Quite the trick they tried to pull!BT9 yearsI didn’t know the number so I just ignored it thinking it was some sort of spam. These calls come from fake numbers pretending to be real ones. I’m pretty sure the person calling isn’t even calling from the UK.
