It buzzed a few more times before abruptly cutting off. Naturally, they didn’t bother to leave a message, which suggests it wasn't of any significance. On a rather unexpected note (who would’ve thought?), my current work-from-home routine has turned this into a light-hearted game. Every time the phone goes off, I leap up with enthusiasm to play the amusing round of “I’ll Bet A Fiver They Remain Quiet!” I can proudly say, I’ve yet to be defeated in all the time I’ve been doing this!2 yearsI got a call on my landline the other day from someone claiming there were two transactions made on my debit account, and they required my personal information to verify them. The chap on the other end said he was representing Visa. I informed him my bank only deals with Mastercard. He seemed a bit muddled and assumed that Visa and Mastercard were interchangeable.
