I received a rather suspicious call informing me there was an issue with my internet service. The caller, who was feigning to be from BT, insisted that if I didn’t press the button ‘1’, my connection would be cut off. It all felt very dodgy, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number!

02981524961 and 01649275097 called me claiming they were from BT. They warned that my internet service would be cut off unless I called back using a code they said they’d give. When I called, they wanted me to enter personal info. I knew straight away it was a SCAM because I switched from BT to SKY about a month ago for all my internet and TV, so obviously, I didn’t fall for it.

Got a call claiming to be from BT, saying my internet was about to get cut off. They asked me to press a number on my phone to supposedly talk to BT. Definitely felt like one of those dodgy scam calls!
