Got a call from a lady with an accent claiming to be from some kind of phone preference thing. She asked if I was tired of all the sales calls and if I wanted them stopped. After she cross-checked my name and address, she started insisting on my credit card expiry date. I got suspicious straight away and questioned why she needed that info. She said it was to confirm my identity since there might be others with the same name. This back and forth went on for a bit until I just ended the call. Why would a supposedly free service want my card details? Just seemed dodgy to me.
