She said it was about my Internet but I cut her off before she could ask for any info. Pretty sure it was a scam call.

The woman spoke terrible English but claimed she was calling from BT about an issue with my internet and asked for my bank details. My phone shows the call came from 01028600718, which looks like it's from Indonesia. When I asked for the number she was calling from, she gave 1217111996. She insisted she was ringing from BT's main office at 31 Newgate St, London. She kept hesitating and sounded like someone was feeding her lines, which made the whole thing feel like a scam.

Got a call left on my answerphone saying they’d charged me £79 for a prime account I don’t even own. They told me to press 1 if I didn’t agree and 2 for other questions. Just found out they’re basically fishing for people with Amazon accounts. Be careful!

This number popped up on my phone while I was abroad. I just ignored it at first. Later, I saw I had a voicemail, so I had a listen. Just like someone else said, there was this voice saying ‘its an answerphone’ or something. I honestly thought someone had left me a real message! And checking that voicemail ended up costing me. My phone showed I had a voicemail, but when I listened it was just some automated message saying it was an answerphone. I looked up the number, saw what others said, and tried to block it only to realise I had already done that. From now on, I’ll check the number before playing any voicemails.

Initially, I assumed it was some sort of robocall, but then a young woman came on the line. The connection kept cutting out and then she hung up on me, calling me a little SH1T!! Never got the chance to wish her a happy new year either. My approach with these companies now is to pick up the phone and stay silent, just to see how they handle that!! Since I started doing this, the calls have really slowed down.

01997858967 rang me last week claiming to be from BT, saying my landline and broadband would be disconnected that day. Thing is, I don't even have broadband with BT! I contacted BT and they said everything’s fine with my account. So now I’m on their call protect service. They've tried calling a few times using automated messages but I’ve just blocked them. They’re really persistent, but they picked a fight with the wrong person. Be careful out there!
