I got a call from a bloke with a thick accent, background noise like he was in a call centre. He said he was ringing about my life insurance with Aviva, but I never took any out. He kept saying he wanted to check my policy to make sure it was the best for me, then suddenly said he had a survey for me. Then the call just dropped.

Got a call today from someone pretending to be about insuring my appliances, sounded like a total scam to me.

Got a call from someone about life insurance, mentioned a couple of names before somehow getting hold of mine. I kept saying I don’t have any life insurance, but they wouldn’t take no for an answer and kept pushing to keep me on the line. They even called me back three times after I told them to stop. Proper annoying!

Got a call from someone with a strong foreign accent talking about a medical alarm. I told her I wasn’t interested, thanks. Then she kinda pushed me with questions, so I just hung up. Really rude behaviour!

They claimed to be from the council but it wasn't my local one, so I just blocked the number straight away.

Clearly a con. I kept them waiting on the phone for about 15 minutes, pretending I was changing my headphones. For at least 10 minutes, they didn't try ringing anyone else either.

I've been inundated with missed calls from this number, accompanied by a string of voicemails that are utterly silent. It's quite frustrating, to be honest. I really hope that someone can intervene and sort this nonsense out. This kind of hassle is not on!

Got a call from 019759680071 and I’m pretty sure it’s some sort of scam or spam. Not entirely certain though. I asked the bloke where he was calling from, his address, postcode and all that. He said London but the phone code he’s using is for Aberdeen, which didn't add up. Just a heads up, be careful if this number rings you!

Fraudulent activity, for sure!

Some bloke called himself from the ‘Pheonix Association’ - which sounded dodgy as that spelling’s not right, I even asked him to spell it out for me. He said they needed to check if I had any damp, mould or leaks in my place. Scary thing was, he kinda knew my name (well, almost), where I live and even my county. When I mentioned GDPR, he acted like he had no clue about it. Kept saying, “No cost, no worries,” like trying to calm me down.

Beware, this is definitely a con! I strongly recommend steering clear and blocking the number. They’ll try to convince you that they’re calling to verify your eligibility for housing repair assistance. It’s really quite despicable how they prey on those who are in a difficult situation. Just utterly shameful!

Received a call where the person on the other end cheerfully asked, "Hello, hope you're doing alright today?" I responded with, "What can I assist you with?" Then, nothing but a rather awkward pause followed. Honestly, it was an utterly forgettable interaction.

I received a rather odd call from a place they referred to as the 'Pheonix Association'-quite an unusual twist on 'Phoenix,' if you ask me. I even asked the chap to clarify the spelling for me. They were fairly persistent about probing into whether I had any problems with damp, mould or, heaven help us, 'leakage.' What struck me as particularly unsettling was how they had my name-almost right, my location, and the county to boot. When I quizzed the caller about GDPR, he seemed completely baffled. He kept assuring me that there wouldn’t be any fees involved, which only added to my unease.

Got a call about some solar panels or insulation or something, but it was all really unclear. Seemed like they were using some sort of autodialling system.

I'm continually receiving calls from this number, and I must admit, I'm rather wary of picking up due to the looming threat of fraudulent activity. I've noticed that others have attempted to investigate this number, 1975968007, but so far, there's been no real clarity. Given this uncertainty, I can't help but think it might be a dodgy line. It would be incredibly helpful if the Scam Team could add some insights on Google about this number, just to ease our minds. Cheers for looking into this!
